Default The bubble has burst - $12.99 for 500 rounds

Cheapest .22LR ammo I've seen in 20 years.

I wouldn't shoot Thunder-turds if you gave them to me. They are dirty, lead up the bore, and are notorious for being associated with out of battery discharges in semi auto's, especially 10-22's.

They work just fine and dandy with my Walther MP5 .22lr. No issues and I've shot thousands of rounds of that stuff. That said, they are dirty but I always clean after every visit to the range.

I've shot a bunch of them, they are not the dirtiest or the cleanest IME, and they function about the same as everything else in my 10/22 and Buckmark.

Me to, but not because I have a lot of ammo, I am just getting that old!

Not just opinion, Remington Thunders and Golden Bullets are the dirtiest brands I've tested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8F_m7GX4ps&t

I knew the bubble had burst when I saw a sale for CCI at less than 5 CPR.

Guess maybe the ammo flippers aren't lining up at Walmart anymore to buy up the stock.

I agree OP, it's been a long time since I've seen 22LR at that price.

With shipping alone it’s 25.98.

Walmart has Federal red box bulk hp, 550 rds for 19.94.

Much better deal.

Feel free to order one box at a time. Most people order multiple boxes. Makes a big difference in the cost of shipping.

Here's another great deal. Under 4 pennies per for CCI. Free shipping on 10 boxes. I didn't need 6000 more rounds of 22 ammo but they make it hard to resist.

Great price I ordered 10 boxes Friday.
I don't need it but for that price can't not.

Turner's had this stuff on sale last Wednesday, 16.99 per bulk pack of 500. Personally, I don't see much difference between this ammo vs any other 22lr ammo. Even at 16.99 per 500 rds, this price is way better that anything I had bought in the months leading up to SH.

These packs are very small for 500rd bulk pack but I do miss the 10x50 rd bricks.

LAX has the same deal 500 rds for $13, from Nov 11-25. LAX has Remington 22RL 40GR LRN I guess is Remington Thurnderbolt. I have problem with Golden Bullet before but not with Thurnderbolt on Buckmark, R Mark 2, SW22A1, HS Sportking, GSG1911-22, and some rifles 10/22,M60,H001.
(Note that my friend has the P-22 CA verion and he bashed Thurnderbolt a lot in matter of fact he bashed all kinds of .22RL, the only ammo he liked is Minimag)

1.) C&R FFL03 plus COE can get ammo shipped directly to you with some vendors

Or

2.) having it shipped to an FFL01 who will receive it and do a transfer to you most often with fee(s) attached. The issue with this is finding both a vendor and a FFL01 who will both cooperate to do this. Some vendors won't ship to California and some FFL01s don't want the hassle for the minor fee benefit.

#1 will cost you a little time and money to obtain but for me is easier at present.

What the future hold is anyone's guess. Saw the following link from LAX Ammo on another forum post:

https://www.laxammooc.com/california...laws-for-2019/

It talks about the background checks starting 7/1/2019. Note the discussion of possibly not being able to purchase ammo if you don't have registered firearms and the State wanting to keep track of what you purchase. It is possible that in the not too distant future 2018 and before will be thought of as "the good old days."
