Probably never seek any of mine. They will all have collectors value the way things are going.

It would have been my 1911 Springfield TRP Full Rail. But things change with time...

I have 1 as well. I think they are pretty rare and I'm pretty fond of it too. Mines a 2 1/4" though.

Colt 1911 with "100 Years of Service" rollmark. Not that it's worth anything due to 2,500+ round count, or that it's just a plain GI model, but it is the first pistol I ever bought.

My father was born in 1935. His father must have graduated high school prior to that. I have grandpa’s Winchester Model 12 that he received as a graduation present from his parents….I was told it was a used gun then. 4 generations have handled that gun….so no way under the sun I’d ever sell it.

Same with my father’s Remington 700 deer rifle manufactured in 1965. I spent many days afield with father deer hunting since I was 12 until he passed….and that rifle was always in his hands.

I'm not much of a collector, but it would probably be the Beretta 86 Cheetah and the Dan Wesson 715VH Pistol Pack.

My grandfather’s S&W RM, from 1936. I have the factory box, tag, manual, and of course the original S&W registration letter they returned to him.
My kids will receive it. It is not in the DOJ database, and it will remain that way.

None. I am different now comparing to ten years ago. I don’t like to look at them any more. I prefer to use them instead and I get bored easily.

My H&K P7. The best and most accurate handgun I have ever owned. Its no wonder the German police carried them for nearly 30 years instead of the Glock.

I've never sold a firearm. Don't intend to.
I put a lot of time researching my purchases.
I don't buy on a whim or desire to be the first cool kid with the newest toy.

Now on to the question. I have 2 that I'll never sell, but for entirely different reasons.

1st is my Dad's 6" Python. Very sentimental.

2nd is a double bbl .45 Colt/.410 pistol. It came with a lot I purchased at auction that included a few guns I really wanted or I wouldn't even own it. That thing is just dangerous. Impossible to engage the safety, tiny little birdshead grip, exposed triggers, and every now and then, totally at random, when you close the action both barrels fire at once. If ever there was a candidate for a gun "buy back" turn in, this is it. I won't sell it because I don't want someone getting accidentally killed by a gun I sold that I know is dangerous.

Its the gun my Dad put in my hand and said “here son, fire away.” lol, his idea of safety training was telling me not to do anything stupid…and it worked.

Anyway, I’d have a real hard time selling it, when I take possession of it one day. But since, I don’t have it yet, I’ll say that my Springfield MC Operator is the gun that I’d sell last. It was my first 1911 and for some reason I have valued it more than any other gun. It was so hard to find brand new, and it has never failed on me. What is the one gun you’d never sell? It doesn’t have to have sentimental value… it could be rare, valuable, impossible to replace, or simply your favorite. Do you regret any guns that you have sold?

I’d never sell any glocks in 9mm.

Why would you bring that up on a board monitored by the DOJ

Actually DROS records go back to the 1920's I believe if the guns as acquired in CA but I never heard of anyone getting a hit earlier than like the 1960's.

I try not to get too emotionally involved over guns all of them have a price if good enough but I have quite a few I don't feel a need yet to sell or that are hard to acquire so makes sense to hang on to them.

Examples being my Chinese Makarov or my MR73's.

Rifle?
My Steyr Scout
I have a lot of great hunting stories attached to that rifle.

Shotgun? My Mossberg/VangComp 590

S&W model 10. Extremely reliable and accurate! Has never failed with over 5000 rounds shot. I trust it 100% to use in any situation including saving my life.

And my Mossberg 500. Same story.

If I truly had no choice but to keep just one, it would be the model 10.

If I get a chance to acquire a VG-mint condition S&W 686 no dash or -1, be the last one I’ll sell.

I’ve sold quite a few, to end up buying them again. So I’m not selling anymore. I’m doing more buying now, since I’m closer to retirement and will have more time to play with them.

After decades of collecting, shooting, reloading and gifting 5 kids plenty of firearms, as I age out of of practically shooting several times weekly I really enjoy shooting my GLOCK 29……

Yeah its an inexpensive plastic POS but it RUNs and RUNs forever.

I’ve owned 3 of them over the years and now I have a dedicated 550C blue
Press and all I reload is 10MM. God I love it so.

Yes, it’s not like my high end 1911s or HK Mark 23…..but I’ve been on wet
river float trips with mud and water submerged for a few days and it still runs.
On one of the 3 I’ve put 10,000 rounds of 10MM and .40 thru it with no issues.
I took it apart for a cleaning and found the locking block cracked. $7 to fix and I
appreciate I can overhaul it with a stick.

Stay safe kids..

The last gun in my safe would be my 1964 first year S&W Model 57 no dash presentation model.
A close second to last would be my S&W Model 29-2 with the 6 1/2" barrel.

bought a S&W Model 27 with 5 inch in 1984, carried it for 2 years on duty and then retired it and bought a Sig 9mm as we finally were allowed to carry semi autos (yes I was hired in LE when it was revolvers only). It was my first purchase and thinking about having it buried with me.
