I just was able to get back on. It’s a been a hectic week. I have to sign up for a PayPal account since my wife is being uncooperative and not letting me refund you the $300.

I should have it all set up by the end of the weekend.

He’s posing as a police officer by the name of Chris Goode, a Wasatch Utah SWAT Team officer. He has pictures of officer Goode’s badge, DL, and officer Goode himself. Anyone that has any information about the suspect please contact Officer Keel via email rkeel@heberut.gov

Report him via the red triangle in the pm. I had a similar experience with him, wanted to text, when I reached out he offered to ship a off roster gun at a price way too cheap.

Came to agreed upon price and the night before meetup when I contact to confirm we're still on he tells me he doesn't have the money and he tries to restart entire negotiations process. Guy wasted a bunch of my time and had me send him a bunch of photos only to pull out last minute. Also was going to drive about an hour to his FFL because they are "super fast" and it was convenient for him. Waste of time.

He PM'd me Saturday, January 7th, to discuss the Staccato P that I have for sale. Had conversations with him via text to negotiate, and we finally agreed to terms on Sunday, January 8th. I called him the next day to discuss details and a place to meet up.

The name tied to phone number 909-231-7540 is Richard Luna, according to my caller ID. He also said his name is Richard. I spent time providing detailed pictures of the handgun to him, and he said that he would be driving up from Fontana, CA to meet with me on Saturday, January 14th. He last responded to me on Monday, January 11th, so it seems like he has ghosted me at this point. I’ve turned down other offers on the Staccato because of his commitment. What a waste of time and effort!

After seeing some of the other complaints lodged here against him, I guess I’ll cancel my appointment at On Target tomorrow!

I also post a WTB ad for a 454 casull and he had one for $800 as well... he only wanted to communicate via text 424-426-3192 said he was in Riverside and would gladly ship the firearm to my FFL.. after telling him my FFL does not accept shipping he said it would be shipped to my house. He Flaked on date of deal and now he’s saying he needs a couple weeks to sell, raised the price on me and has multiple listing for same pistol. Each with a higher price. I guess not much more to expect from a newbie with no reviews. Sounded too good to be true. He wont even send images of firearm so who knows if he even has it and if he does he needs to list on gun broker or ebay.

Just had a similar experience with M LABELLA, he sent me a message from him about a WTB I posted for a CZ scorpion, he messaged me and since the site is slow I asked him to text me with photos. He sends a message asking me to text him instead. I sent him a text about the scorpion and instead of replying like most people would he says “hey how are you” so I googled his number and saw this post. I told him to pound sand

sanetak122 gave me his brother's email(robbineddie09@gmail.com) and number(765-387-9757) said his borther can sell me his Sig Sauer SP2022 40S&W for cheap(I posted a WTB SP2022 San DIego)

His borther texted me that he is in Miami(Red Flag 2.) and can just send the gun to my address and asked if I can do the payment or not(Red Flag 3). $170 for Sig Sauer SP2022, Red Flag 4)

I was shocked and told him this is totally NOK in California, let him know it must go through FFL, he texted me back said OK.

His brother gave me an email Vera.jackson0411@gmail.com(Red Flag 4.) to receive the payment via Chase Zelle, said this is his wife's Chase Zelle.

With so many red flags, this entire text communication seemed very suspicious to me, I blocked his number and decided to post this.

I'm not sure if this is an online scam or not(maybe his brother just need the money so he could sell the SP2022 so cheap $170).

I insisted in doing face2face transaction at a FFL but he said he can NOT do face2face transaction at FFL delaer(Red Flag 3)

I blocked his number 207-329-6894 and deleted all the messages.

Not sure if this an online scam so I decided to post this for a record.

This guy doesn't respect the way this site works. He contacted me several times and asked for two weeks time then said he could do it within the week.
he then changed the days twice and then about 24 hours before we were supposed to meet said sorry found one for a cheaper price. All this after I marked my item SPF and told him I would stop bumping the ad. I should have done my due diligence before trusting this guy.
ZERO referrals and just joined 2-21-23, before trusting this guy.

Had a guy message me shortly after I posted a WTB thread. He emailed me directly and asked to communicate by text. Said his FFLs nearby were closed, as it was Sunday. He texted Monday and said he was ready to ship as soon as he got payment through Zelle, after a pause he offered that I could pay half up front and half after I receive. When asked to send pictures of both sides of the firearm with my name written on paper in the photos, and for the number of his FFL that I could call when he arrived to ship - he disappeared and the number was out of service for follow up messages.

Stay vigilant and don’t send money via Zelle etc without proper confirmation. Thieves abound.

His email was anthonydevito52@gmail.com, of course they are free to make more.
