If a person was to donate to CRPA, what is the difference between donating directly or donating to the CRPA Foundation? The former is not tax-deductible, the latter is.

The CRPA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, so donations are often tax deductible (check with your tax preparer).
The CRPAF provides grants to the CRPA to fund their educational programs, scholarships, outreach, etc. and helps with the fight to protect our 2A rights. Donations to CRPA can be used for salaries for staff that are of course essential to the operation of the organization. There is still much to accomplish, and donations to either the CRPAF or CRPA are needed and both are worthy of your consideration. If unsure, consider going with a 50:50 split. The CRPAF has a great Charity Navigator score of 77. The score will increase by up to 20 points when a more current audit is completed, and it could go up 3 more points if a Whistleblower program is put in place (no employees, so this is likely not a priority). https://www.charitynavigator.org/ein/731719822
