There is a friend I know who lives 5 minutes away and he has to pay for shipping no in-person pickup.
Don't sweat it, that's their thing, there are many other online retailers who are cheaper and ships for free.

Very true, but they are opening new stores in the OC and San Diego so it appears to be the business model to screw over us in California while still being competitive across the country and online. Why not open that to everyone here in California?
I left and purchased ammo at a local WalMart that was brand new, not reloads for $0.33 a round compared to the reloads they were selling for $0.379 a round. I would have easily paid the online price of $0.289 a round in person.
