CCW Training & Qualification

This is a one day Course and Qualification. RTR’s Carry Concealed Weapon Course exceeds the mandatory training requirements of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, and is approved by the standards set forth by California Statute. Special emphasis is placed on weapons safety in and outside of the home, instruction and basic principles of marksmanship, care and cleaning, legal requirements of the state for certification, laws relating to concealed carry, and justifiable use of force. The course will cover:

To Qualify at the range you must achieve 70% or better

A total of 16 hours** of instruction is divided between an interactive lecture followed by range qualification using students registered firearms to be used on their permit. The student will qualify each handgun they will use for the CCW Permit. Upon successful completion of training, each individual will get a Completion of Training certificate to submit to the OC Sheriff’s Department.

Eye and ear protection
Closed toe shoes
No low cut necklines
Firearms to be submitted for concealed carry.

CCW Renewal

(Qualify at the range you must achieve 70% or better)

This will satisfy the four hour renewal class described by the state penal code. Students will go through classroom training on law updates, retention maneuvers and then go to the range for their live fire qualification.

Closed toe shoes
No low cut necklines
Guns to be put on permit, existing and/or new.

100 rounds of ammunition for first firearm, 25 rounds for each additional firearm.

Course fee is $75 for up to 3 firearms
***If you are qualifying with 4 to 6 guns, the course fee is

$110

***If you are qualifying with 7 to 9 guns, the course fee is $130

***Over 10 Guns = $150***
