AZ works well for me.
I'm a truck driver and on a weekly basis drive one of two different routes.
Either CA, NV, UT, WY, NE or I do CA, AZ, NM, TX, OK, KS.
On occasion I get sent to our IL warehouse (IL not covered) or to TN.
In that case I'm legal everywhere but IL and CA.
The only place I can't defend myself is my home State.

Looks like I am wrong. There are 31 states for a non resident AZ permit and 37 states for a resident. Utah seems to follow the same except for adding Washington.

Maybe Utah isn't a big deal now.

I live in a (nearly) shall issue, Stanislaus.
The problem is being a truck driver and scheduling appointments/taking classes.
My only days off are Tue and Wed. To make it worse I frequently get rerouted and am gone two weeks instead of one week.

It would be nice to have more convenient class schedules.

The other states covered include CO. must just be for residents, as (CO) they only do for reciprocals for state residents.

Is this right Idk.

All my docs were received by AZ DPS on Nov 27. Let's see how long it will take. Will update thread when I receive it.

Does anyone know for sure if NV will recognize the AZ permit? Or is it still a no? From what I have been reading in this thread, it's still a no but AZ DPS website says gtg and this website article dated June, 2015 shows that NV will indeed recognize AZ CCW.

Anyone with a permit know for sure? I have requested a packet but forgot to ask...

Here's is a good place to start:

http://www.usacarry.com/concealed-carry-resources.html

When in doubt, always check the appropriate state website...

Yes, you do need to apply for your CA CCW.

Some counties can take a very long time to process apps...

No it doesn't. A hunting license, a ccw from any state, military discharge papers or take a nra instructed course.

It's been 32 days since I sent my app in and nothing. I called today and they said I was approved yesterday and it was mailed yesterday.

I called because of my mail issues I have been having. Very nice lady on the phone.

Thank you for the heads up in Alta Loma.

Their Live-Scan machine was out but they are waiting on a new one. They inked mine, NP, $17 per card so $34. Seemed fair, off the app. goes.

I just sent my email yesterday, The clock begins. The only other state I would carry would be Nevada and since this cures that problem, it is worth it. I dont go anywhere else

Ummm... The last time I checked, an AZ permit DOES NOT work in Nevada. You might want to check on that before you go assuming anything.

Default AZ CCW permit

Nevada started recognizing Arizona's permit in June or July of this year. Go to Nevada's website, it's there for everyone to read.
