Applying for Florida CCW. One of the requirements is the fingerprint card, done at Sheriff's Office, or electronic fingerprinting.
I have an appointment at the Ventura Country Sheriff's Office next week, but I wonder if they give me a card or if they scan this and can submit it in a way that the prints meet my application in Florida.

Florida requires a INK rolled standard FBI fingerprint card (FD-258) competed by a law enforcement agency with their information noted on the upper right rear of the card.

Electronic scanning is only an option if you have it done within the state of Florida.

Florida will happily send you some cards out or you can use any blank FD-258. IF you use a blank one make sure to note in the ORI block the following:

FL92061OZ
DOA-CONSUMER SV-LIC
TALLAHASSEE, FL

Note your application T number (tracking number) in the OCA block on the card.

Note in the Reason Fingerprinted block in the card 790.06.

That was super helpful, awiner. I just ordered a 3-pack from Amazon. Hopefully it will make it in time.

For future reference, Florida mails them to you for free, as many as you want. You just order it on their website.

Also for future reference, if you get a live-scan for a different permit (say Nevada), ask them to print out the FBI card from your scan. Florida will accept laser-printed print cards from the live-scan system done at a Sheriff's station.

I requested the card when I did mine. It’ll show up within a few days. I called the SO and ask about fingerprinting. The lady told me I didn’t have to schedule an appointment for ink rolling. Only for livescan. I went down there and was out within 15 minutes. The person that rolls your prints has to fill out the form or provide their signature or something of that nature. FL will only accept ink and must be rolled by a LEA. Make sure you don’t fold your card or they might send it back. Good luck.
