SF Moma still good to go? Thanks.

Edit to add: It is good to go….

Careful, you’re the nations most wanted

SF CCW is fine if you don’t carry 10+ mags and leave your HST/Black Talons at home.

Not sure about the Safari Zoo. But some may chime in to avoid SF at all costs…

I've got the same question as I'm headed there next week. Hopefully someone has been recently and has the answer.

I went to Las Vegas over the weekend, I have an AZ non resident permit.

Saw a show at the Plaza; was never stopped, wanded, or even questioned.

Welcome to Nevada. Most of the Casinos will have signs posted, but unless you are causing an issue or printing bad you won't be bothered, worse case, they will ask you to leave and not come back packing. If you are staying at the Hotel, they will escort you to the Security Office, and they will take it for safe keeping, and advise you it can be checked out when you are leaving to go somewhere, or checking out. I haven't been on Fremont Street since they last few incidents, but you could walk up to the LVMPD Officer, tell him\her you have a CCW, show it to him\her, and they would let you bypass the metal detector.

I got got. Aquarium of the Pacific is no longer good to go. They use a fancy electro magnetic detector with camera to alert the two security just past the entrance. I was turned around and told to secure it in my car. They were surprisingly professional about it, but I’ve carried there for a couple of years and finally went back (first time in 18 months or so).

Went to the Getty Villa and SD zoo recently and they’re both Good to go. The Getty Villa has a bag check but not wands or metal detectors. The SD zoo has nothing but someone scanning a ticket to get in.

No. SF Municipal Code -

(2) Ammunition designated by its manufacturer for purchase by law enforcement or military agencies only, unless other ammunition is available to the general public that has physical properties resulting in ballistics performance identical to such ammunition.
(b) Possession Prohibited; Exceptions. No person, firm, corporation or other entity may possess Prohibited Ammunition within the City and County of San Francisco, except that this subsection shall not apply to the otherwise-lawful possession of Prohibited Ammunition by the following:
(1) Peace officers in possession of Prohibited Ammunition issued to them by their employing agency;
(2) Federal law enforcement officers or other federal employees in possession of Prohibited Ammunition issued to them by their employing agency;
(3) Members of the armed forces of the United States in possession of Prohibited Ammunition issued to them by the military agency to which they belong;
(4) Patrol special police officers, animal control officers or zookeepers, harbor police officers, sheriff's security officers, or police security officers in possession of Prohibited Ammunition issued to them by their employing agencies; or,
(5) Businesses licensed as firearms dealers under this Article in possession of Prohibited Ammunition for sale to law enforcement and military agencies. Agencies employing persons listed in subsection (b)(4) are considered law enforcement agencies for purposes of this Section.
(c) Sale or Transfer. No business licensed as a firearm dealer under this Article may sell, lease or otherwise transfer Prohibited Ammunition except to law enforcement and military agencies.
...
(e) Penalty. Violation of any of the provisions of this Section is a misdemeanor and upon conviction the violator may be punished by a fine not to exceed $1,000.00 or by imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed six months, or by both.
Right there before "SEC. 619. PROHIBITION AGAINST POSSESSION OF LARGE CAPACITY MAGAZINES."

Musical at Pantages had event staff checking bags and wanding people down front and back.

I dropped this in the Pantages thread but figured it would be nice here too.

Sea world in SD as of Dec was metal detecting but allowed for credentialed LEO exemption but I think that depends on the guard. He mentioned “well, we usually only exempt SD SO…”
Segerstrom was a hard pass on any

Just went to Monterey Bay Aquarium and confirmed they have Evolv scanners at entrance now and you can’t carry in. With a backpack I got pulled aside for more screening and can see the Evolv monitors flagging me with my backpack.

The backpack check was pretty weak with only a quick peak inside to see camera equipment.

Can confirm this. Monterey Aquarium in the main list should be put with an X now.

I went today and it was not very busy at all. After my wife went through, I noticed the machine light up red for me, however no actual alarms went off. The bonehead security lady was also too busy with her phone and I guess she didn't notice, so I was able to walk through with no issues. However had she been paying attention I would have been nailed 100%.

If you actually carried there, you got a bit lucky - see https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/...light=Alcatraz
