Quick questionS, I applied on the 13th then got a email saying to upload my live scan did it the next day, firearm approved ca and fbi also approved 2 days ago.
Now do I just wait till I get a call or email? or should I call and ask?... I know the process takes a while but isn't the part that takes the longest is the firearm approval on the doj site? do they update permitium for interview? also what are the average times for approval in Ventura county? This is all new to me sorry for being all over the place im just very happy that clears so fast. thanks!!

We LITERALLY have a new sheriff in town, so things may have changed. A year and some ago, it took 8 months-ish from beginning to end. It was a "Don't call us, we'll call you" kinduv a thing. They also weren't using Peritium. To schedule an interview, the investigator just called to set up the phone interview. Oh, how things have changed! I don't even recall the firearm approval process you are referring to, so maybe that's new too? I just stated on the app what I wanted to use, it got verified during the class, and that's it. What took the longest for me was the background check, which takes the most leg work by the IA.
