If you ever shoot at Evan's Gun Range, I can let you try mine.

An excellent choice for carry.

I carried the P2000sk 9mm with LEM trigger for a few years, in a Vedder kydex IWB holster. I liked it, or shound I say, “tolerated” it but never really loved it. Then I got a Glock 26 and never looked back at Hk. The P2000sk now sits in “mothballs” in the safe with several other top-heavy Hk boat anchors.

If it were me, I’d do everything I could to modify my grip so as not to get pinched as described by you. The G26 is smaller than the P2000sk and that’s why I like it better. Also magazines are so easy to find and way less expensive than Hk.

I tend to agree with others that if you don’t like the g26, I’d get a California approved Shield before I’d buy such a bulky P2000sk.

I have a shield and it is easier to conceal. I need to just accept a striker fire with one in the chamber, firing pin back as ok. I feel much better with the H&K LEM v1 with the hammer back, but not sticking back and can put my thumb on the hammer when holstering. But I agree, the shield is more comfortable when just rocking a T-shirt n such. It's been real cold and I wear a jacket basically daily now so I have been carrying the P2000SK and no issues. In time I plan to add some other sub compacts, maybe a G26.. thx

If it makes you feel better, I’ve been carrying striker fired pistols with one in the chamber now AIWB, pointed at the “junk” for 33 years and on a daily basis. The gun is NOT going to go off by itself. Well, let me clarify…. As long as it’s not a Sig, it won’t go off by itself.

On Glocks, the striker is NOT cocked (pulled back), until the trigger is pulled all the way to the rear. Sittin in a holster and the Glock is beyond safe from going off. It can’t happen.

I currently have a P2000SK as my main CCW for many years, I like it very much after much trial and error with numerous other CCW pistols. I also like HK in general as a brand, they make some of the best firearms money can buy, in my opinion.

The size and design of the P2000SK suits my carry needs.

TRIGGER VERSION: I currently use a V3 DA/SA. I have owned and carried the V2 LEM version which I liked very much. Several years ago, in a moment of dumbness I sold it as I was into other things, and I regretted it. So I purchased this V3 I currently own for a really good price on the Calguns marketplace ($550), with the intention of later converting to LEM.

I never got around to converting back to LEM, as I was perfectly satisfied with the DA/SA.... Basically, whether you have a DA/SA or LEM, you will shoot best what you practice.

How much you practice with a certian gun or trigger carries far more weight than the characteristics of the trigger itself. That is my advise if one is uncertain over what trigger to have. Same theory not just for triggers but really any gun. You can defend yourself pretty well with a mouse gun or a high point, so long as they are reliable and you practiced a lot with it.

Anyway the P2000SK (DASA or LEM), is probably the one of the best on-roster carry options there is.

Mine is bone stock with the exception of Trijicon HD sights and some spare freedom week mags.

Hope that helps
