I am thinking of apply CCW. But with new Sheriff elected, is it too late to apply CCW? Thank you.

Per the CA Office of the Attorney General, starting 06-24-2022, issuing agencies can no longer legally require a carry permit applicant to provide a good cause statement and determination of permit issuance is dependent on the applicant passing the background check process & good moral character determination.

Which new sheriff? What is your location and who is your IA? To that end, there are county specific threads in the CCW County board. You'll probably get better information about your specific county by posting in the appropriate thread.

But in general, you should ABSOLUTELY apply. In light of the Bruen decision last years, counties MUST start issuing. There are some holdout sheriffs who are being difficult but the pro gun groups are working to get them in line. Apply and stay on top of your IA!

In that case you have to apply through Pasadena PD. Only residents who live in areas patrolled by LASD are eligible to apply through LASD.
