Default A zone pre rut

Well it started bucks are chasing and with doe’s a buddy got a decent buck yesterday with 10 doe’s. I went out and saw a nice forkie chasing but I passed for something bigger. I hope to get my nephew on it.

Yeah. got one last Sunday by watching four does. Even though we gutted him in the field, made all kinds of commotion, and then drove the truck in to pick him up, the does hung around. By the time we left, we counted seven does circling the kill area.

I tagged out, but I told my friend to go back to the same spot this weekend. I'm thinking that seven does without a breeder will attract another buck fairy quickly.

Love to see that stuff. The first gobble of the year, the first bee swarm, the first open water swim, the first buck chasing does, the first storm... Rhythms of the year.

Turned out, there were two that filled the hole, one after the other, over the course of the weekend.

That little herd of does turned out to be real buck killers.

The last week of A zone turned out to be another nice one for us, as usual saw many bucks we didn't see all season, many locked onto doe. No rain this year but the temps dropped and held for several days, good times.
