I drive all around San Diego county every week and get my groceries from Walmart multiple times a week. Palm Avenue Walmart easily has the best availability out of all that I have seen so far.

Discount Gun Mart sold out of the aforementioned Blazer .22, but they had some Aguila 500 round bricks for $49. Bought one, there were about 5 left half an hour ago. Plenty of 50 round boxes on the shelf too.

I am not sure if this was mentioned so I will toss it out there.
gunbot.net
ammoseek.com
both awesome webpages for finding ammo deals. I use them almost weekly.

Shawline Walmart had about 10-15 boxes of Tula 7.62, 8 boxes of CCI Blazer in 40S&W, some Tula 40 S&W. They always seem to be well stocked on 7.62x51, guess no one's buying. Not much of anything else.

Never again will I go back to the Walmart off of College in Lemon Grove. Went yesterday morning at 7:00 A.M. to grab a box of Federal .40 only to be given the run around by 5 different employees over a span of 30 minutes. Talked to two ladies, whom im pretty sure were managers, that did next to nothing to help (as a matter of fact, one of them wouldnt even really look at me when I asked her if she had the keys to the ammo or if she knew who did. She said no and no then kept on doing what she was doing). After asking 5 different employees, who all made little to no effort to help, I paid for the drink that I opened while I walked from person to person trying to get assistance then I left. Of all of the people that I spoke to, a cashier was the most helpful and apologetic.

Vent over.

Next time try an associate over at the electronics section. At 7AM my Walmart does not have anybody managing sporting goods, much less a a clerk with ammo display key. The electronics department has to have sales associates at all times, I've had luck getting one to help me out in the AM.

been there and done that twice, both times in the morning between 8am and 9am... Lemon Grove is a PITA to get anyone to help... once for 22lr and other time for 30cal... both times waited in excess of 20 minutes, even had manager from electronics called... I dont argue or complain cause minimum wage workers dont give a S___T.

That's actually not bad of a price on .223/5.56 locally

Stopped by Walmart in Carlsbad today (off of college, just south of the 78) at 9:30 A.M. and was surprised that their case was almost completely full of almost everything. Easily the most stocked case Ive seen lately, but probably because it was Monday morning? Anyway, saw that they had a good few boxes of 22lr hollow points for $18.00 if anyone is still looking.

Was in San Diego Firearms Training Center.
Pickup two boxes of 380 for $22 each.
They had .22lr for 19.99 a box of 50, yep, $200 a brick.
Now that's a rip off!

That's sad. Sucks to see a pace tacking advantage that bad. I've been hearing bad things about that place. Everything is expensive there.

Quite the opposite in my experience but I guess hearsay is considered fact these days.

Would be nice for people to post pricing along with the type of ammo. Just so we can compare locally.

With that being said, has anyone seen factory rounds cheaper than Walmart? It's a shame it's so hard to find stock. $25 for 100rds of 9mm Federal is just about the best I've seen.

For factory rounds, that's a negative even with their recent price hike.

Walmart is the cheapest locally. If you go online you can beat walmart prices. After tax 9mm comes out to be about $0.28 per round of Federal at wally world. I have gotten factory new brass online for $0.268 per round and also $0.25 per round. Had to buy over 1k rounds to get that price though.
