Sharpening systems/Tools
I've been looking at something that's a little more hands free (I use and love the Lansky kit) that I can store away in one of the kitchen cabinets, and this leads me to the Warthog tool. I'm looking at the Work Sharp too. Although it's not as hands free as I would like.
Can you recommend any other sharpening systems/tool that are hands free ? Thanks fellas, enjoy your weekend and have a safe Holloween

I've had my eye on the Lansky and Spyderco for a couple weeks now. Ill probably pull the trigger on Spyderco, they have quality knives and most likely have a great sharpener.
Can't remember who I was watching on youtube but he recommended a pen pocket sharpener too if you have any serrations on your blades. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...OJ7STM4G&psc=1

Some of the random diamond sharpener rods - are way too rough
I got one for sharpening in the field and it's junk Better to touch up the edge on the edge of the car window

I touch up my blade edges with an Eze Lap Ultra Fine Hone (Blue) like Paul Sellers does. For restoration I use a Smith's Jig

I been using the Spyderco system for many years. Had the cordura cased system and now have the one in a plastic case. Can’t recommend it enough. Fits in a kitchen drawer or a backpack. Even does serrated blades. I have several Japanese Damascus kitchen knives and the Spyderco system keeps them scary sharp. Excellent on pocket knives as well. Can’t bugger up your edge like with a stone as long as one follows the system’s instructions.

anyone look at the Wicked Edge stuff ? its super expensive but the only advantage I see in it is that it keeps both sides of the blade at same angle without having to move knife. I just don't see that advantage being enough to justify the extra cost.

I bought a Wicked Edge system from a member on this board. Prior to that, I used a Spyderco Sharpmaker, and I had considered changing to a Work Sharp system. The Wicked Edge system is much better than the Sharpmaker, and now that I had been using the Wicked Edge system, I would never put a blade to a belt sander.
