Default bnz 43 d-block K98k

Latest acquisition is a 1943 K98k manufactured by Steyr (bnz factory code). Only mismatched part is the cocking piece, which was manufactured by Radom, Poland and was used in Steyr rifle production. Bolt was incorrectly serialized as 989 and was "corrected" by stamping a "3" over the 8. I mainly collect pre/early-WW2 rifles, but these mid-war ones are definitely growing on me.

That is a beauty. I personally prefer the mid - late war rifles over the finely crafted pre-early war rifles.
