Rest In Peace, Redfield
A year ago, I posted the following thread for those who wondered what was going on with Redfield.
https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/...eply&t=1686665 Looks like I was told incorrect information after all. Just today found out that Leupold ended up selling Redfield last year to Academy Sports. This was only three months after they told me it was just "paused". Here's the announcement, from Leupold. https://www.leupold.com/blog/post/le...ports-outdoors This is really unfortunate. Furthermore, it appears that Academy Sports ran right over to Red China, and Redfield is no longer a "Made In USA" riflescope, per this link. https://sigforum.com/eve/forums/a/tp...5/m/2200057484 Now I'm *really* glad that I bought my Leupold-made Redfields when I did. The Revolution was just that, a revolution in quality, affordable, USA-made riflescopes. Leupold will continue to support the Redfield scopes that they sold. Well, it was good while it lasted.

Agree. I eventually collected three of the Accu-Range reticle'd Revolution models. I started with the 4-12x. I'm still impressed with that scope's glass, even while owning other much more expensive scopes with ED/UHD, etc. glass. So when I read that the Redfield Revolution line was being discontinued I bought the 3-9x and eventually the 2-7x also.

Same here. Figured it was only a matte of time until Leupold dropped Redfield. I'm happy they kept it alive as long as they did. Bought two of the 2-7X's myself. Only weight 11 oz. One lives on an M1A, the other is a spare.

So you're saying my nib Redfield Revolutions just went up in value? ...

No, I'm not saying that. If only! :-) I'm simply saying that it was a great run while it lasted. It's sad that we now no longer have a USA-made riflescope in that price bracket, affordable to most people. Redfield's Revolution fit that bill very well, and I definitely became a Redfield fanboy for that reason. The majority of of my centerfire rifles are topped with Revolution riflescopes, with the one exception being a Leupold VX-1 (pretty much what the Revolution is).
