I believe so. I don’t see why not? That’s one of the uses I had in mind. Just cleaned my niece’s stuffed animal and son’s Ipad.

Been looking at this on amazon, UV bulb that also generates ozone.
https://www.amazon.com/XBOCMY-Germic...5197817&sr=8-3
Ozone just incase the light misses anything. Was thinking of attaching it to a drop light or corded socket and throw it into any cabinet/drawer to santize everything in the cabinet.

I had been thinking of getting a UV-C light to sterilize used N95s, but I'd hate to spend $100+ just as the new "Trump" batch hits the ground.

Does this only clean the surface visible to the light? If say the wallet was folded closed, I assume nothing inside would be cleaned right?

Yes, only exposed surfaces. Think how a sunburn leaves a bra pattern...

I'm not an expert but I thought I read that specifically " UVC ", a certain spectrum of UV light , was best at eliminating the Coronavirus.

The problem with UVC light is that it damages human skin and eye vision, if you look into the light or your skin is exposed to it too long. But in the last few years something was developed called "Far UVC" lights, which basically are just as good at killing viruses but that spectrum of UVC lights do not penetrate human skin or damage our eyes.

Read a study that putting N95 masks in the oven at low temperature for 30 minutes does the trick too. The virus doesn't like heat. Don't have the link for you unfortunately.

Well, turning and flipping the items will certainly help hit all the shadow areas.

Seems like a good deal for the money

For a cabinet UV sterilzer, that's a pretty good deal.

Many of the cabinet style sterilizers use heat and/or ozone too. This one doesn't, which is a good thing IMHO.

Ozone can degrade lots of stuff and is also not good for your health. Heat isn't good for many things either.

It appears the cabinet doesn't have an auto shutoff or timer function, so you have to remember when you turned it on and when to shut it off.

This looks pretty good. Doesn't specify UVC, but if it's designed for sterilization, then it should be in the UVC range.

Or use one of those cheap wall timers to turn it off..

It has a timer that can be set for 5-20 minutes.

Just ordered one. Thanks OP.

Can you share any details? How long does it take to clean items?

The timer is factory set to five minutes and can be extended up to 20. I have be doing ten minutes for items I am cleaning. (Five on each side.) Don’t really know how to verify if this is enough time but figured five minutes must be enough for most situations as it is the factory setting.

Worth noting, the interior is quite reflective. Absent a fully loaded rack, it seems the UV rays would be bouncing around in there.

Picked up some of these (and the ballasts) back in January... just in case I had to build a walk-in sterilizer in my garage. 36” long.

I just used it the first time on some n95 mask I wore going out shopping today. It fits 3 mask perfectly.

Anyone know where I can get a backup bulb for this unit?
