"Stunning Unfired "Old Model" Ruger Bearcat Revolver", 22 caliber, "100% New", Original owner, Safe Queen, Manufactured in 1968(unbelievably 53 years old), 4", 17 oz, "FIRST ISSUE", (OLD MODEL) SINGLE ACTION, SIX SHOT, 22LR, Beautiful, Super hard to find anywhere in this AMAZING AND PRISTINE condition. Ruger Bearcats made between 1958 and 1972 all came with a 22 caliber cylinder. They did not come with a second 22 mag cylinder until 1993 in the Third Edition. In 1993 they did make 1,000 Ruger Bearcats with both cylinders, the 22 long rifle and the 22 mag cylinder.
I have had 17 Ruger Bearcats manufactured between 1959 and 1972. They were excellent collector items but they all had been fired & they all had slight cylinder rings. If you check GunBroker, Cal Guns, Armslist, & Guns International, you will not find a new "Old Model Ruger Bearcat 22" ,1968, or for that matter in any year between 1958 and 1972, that is in new(unfired) condition. A new "Old Model Ruger Bearcat" 53 years old & brand new 100% condition is impossible to find. I'm lucky enough to say that I have one. The Older "Old Model Ruger Bearcats that you will find have all been fired & have cylinder rings. Mine is absolutely "100%" new and unfired. This revolver happens to be an excellent opportunity for a gun expert/collector/hobbyist to add to their collection. These are super difficult to find!! I don't have the box but I do have the manual.
