Default You have $1500 to spend on a gun.. what would you get?

Hey all. You have $1500 to spend on a gun.. what would you get? I'm leaning towards handguns since I don't have any more space for long guns.
I want something different.. been eyeing a Chiappa Rhino or possibly a Desert Eagle for the cool factor.. give me some ideas!
Edit: Intended use is for a fun range toy. Open to semiautos and revolvers!

Revolver or Semi auto?
Range toy or something else?
What is the goal of the use of the gun...?

Answer these and Now you can get a more specific plethora of answers....

How about a midrange 1911 you could tune and upgrade as needed? They’re a breeze to shoot and you’d end up with a pistol tailored to your liking.

...maybe a classic S&W model 13?

Or just say ***k it and get a 6” Ruger GP 100 and have it Magna ported along with a sweet trigger job.

2 x $750 = one hand gun, one rifle

...and maybe even some left over for bacon!

Ruger 9mm carbine & a hand gun with a D/A trigger (still undecided)

I am not sure if you have most calibers covered, and if cost of ammo is an issue, but for a cool factor I would go with...

Are the Dan Wessons really THAT good? I have a Springfield Loaded and don't really know how much more I'd expect from a Dan Wesson?

$1500 will easily buy another safe so you can have 1 for side arms and 1 for long guns.
Then you can buy more guns to satisfy your impulses.

Sent using a long string and 2 used soup cans

Thanks so far for the suggestions.. I'd like to ideally keep the calibers within those I currently have.. preferably either 9mm, 45, or 357

A Glock 9mm, another for your son or father, then a shooting class for both of you with your favorite instructor.

I have a bigger safe coming to me soon from an uncle who doesn't need it anymore, so I don't want to spend money on a second safe just yet.. I rather spend it on a fun range gun

This changes things.

The one handgun I wish I bought during the SSE days was HK45 (not USP).

A Springfield TRP comes first to mind. Or a special grade Grarand of some kind from CMP.

A Glock model 34 in 9 mm and a Ruger carbine in 9 MM, and spend the rest on ammunition.

CZ Tactical Sport 9mm ($1200), this pistol is on Roster and discontinued by CZ, it will be a collector item after sold out, 2# trigger pull out of the box. Tell me what pistol on Roster has 2# trigger out of the box ?

Chiappa Rhino certainly turns heads at the range, and a Dan Wesson is definitely better than a SA Loaded.

Dan Wesson CBOB or PM7. I have both and think they are very good 1911s for the money.

Thanks for the continued feedback.. I'm leaning towards a Rhino or Dan Wesson CBOB, unless I can find a clean Colt 1911. The CZ's are great but don't do much for me in terms of looks.

Easy. California has made semiautomatic rifles no fun so skip them. Desert Eagle you will use twice then never use it. It will either sit in your safe or you will sell it.

The correct answer to your question is Les Baer .45. You will love it. You will shoot it all day and all night. Everyone at the range will stare and ask to shoot it. You will keep it forever and pass it on to your heirs who will be grateful that's what you spent your money on.
