Default AR-15 DO NOT DEAL WITH anyone posing as Michael DUDA of fountain valley / Sand Diego

I pm'd an offer on long guns to Oilegor28

He sent me a picture of his Cal DL as Michael Duda of fountain valley. (local)

I decided to meet him . He said he was an FFL and has a linkedin profile ELITE CCW training. He asked for a $200 deposit to hold the Anderson AM-15 for me and then to the DROS friday afternoon in Fountian valley. Venmo acct $200 deposit sent to

Yvonne Gurule venmo at his request.
@yvonnegurule1 for Michael Duda.

We set up a meet...then in the morning, he asked for $200 more. I said no, just return my deposit and I'll find another gun. pm sent to cell:

352-639-4634
SCAM ARTIST
He PM'd me this drivers license to ask for a deposit....then ghosted me.
attached Moderator Rkt here - I've deleted the attached photo ID as it is likely a picture of Duda's real ID being used by a scammer, Duda is a known person and obivously not the thief. ~rkt

That sucks. Sorry to hear that. Never give a deposit. Guns are a dime a dozen especially ARs. Just too many scammers. If anyone asks for a deposit, probably something fishy going on. There always be another of the same gun available soon. Thanks for the heads up.

Reach out to Elite CCW and ask him about it, I bet it's a stolen identity. Nobody would send their real drivers license if they're gonna scam you.

just to clear up things. He did not private message me. He posted directly on my post which is publicly viewed about wanting to buy my gun (see my ad for evidence). Someone contacted and texted him thru his phone of images, I did not. My post was legit. please clear my username

I am highly spectacle of anyone on Calguns posting with brand new accounts with zero posts. Especially when they ask for deposits. If I suspect a scammer is wasting my time I bait them until the last possible second to see a reaction. My favorite so far has to be from a scammer that demanded I pay him money for wasting his time for a firearm that was "in my area" but had to be shipped as he was busy and could not meet ftf at a local store for a transfer.

I agree with Oilegor28, he is NOT the scammer - you got scammed by an external source and you need to clear his name.

This is the danger of posting your cell phone or e-mail publicly (even on your profile) and communicating outside of CalGuns Private Messaging. I only provide my personal information once confirmed a deal has been made thru PM.

The pic and personal info posted should be deleted. I am confident that this ID was either stolen or someone snapped a pic of it while it was sitting out and is using it to scam people.

His last name is Spanish is “to doubt”. That was your first hint. Scammers dropping clues with stolen identities.
