I consider myself new at a whopping five years of living here now and I don't fear Californians, I definitely raise the alarm at liberalism though. My fear is that the Liberals who run the schools are going to teach the kids the Next Generation who will vote and run the state to run it in such a way that it will destroy us. Hopefully people will learn their lessons about liberalism and what it does to economies, Nations, and even counties. It is truly a disease that needs to be squashed.

I chalk it up to Sports Teams. BSU brings all the athletes from CA as well as the all knowing liberal Professors. Person hates CA, home prices skyrocket, person sells their 1000sqft home, moves to ID, puts in offer for 5500sqft home @ 20k over asking offer valid until end of day, offer gets accepted, pay off home and still have cash from CA home sale.

When we moved here, there were lots of homes for sale. The ones in good spots wouldnt stay on the market a full day... others would sit for a year. All nice homes, but theres people sitting on piles of CA cash from their home sales ready to sweep up a home in a good location (near the green belt). Thats pretty much just CA folks. We tried to look a few homes and were denied because someone overbid by $50k and stopped taking bids within hours of listing. CA folks with cash fighting over homes that locals dont have a chance on.... So I understand their hate and frustration. The fact theres like no gun laws (18+ can conceal carry without lic), no NFA laws (only fed) is enough for me to say "I really dont care what y'all think of me, I love this place. Ill add to the economy by buying lots of guns and keep voting red. Peace".

That jacks up prices. Good in CA because of prop13, bad in Idaho because everyone pays more. They know Idaho looks very attractive to gun loving Californians. Population of ~1.8M in the entire state, CA had ~4.5M Trump voters. Theres a potential to drastically increase population in a very short period.

I've been going to Idaho for 2 years to look at property there.
Recently for 30 days back in June after I sold my house in SoCal.....and a week long adventure back in October.
I'm just not ready to pull the trigger yet.

The MAJORITY of people moving in Idaho....are from Idaho.
People are selling homes they bought years ago, and are moving up.

Washington...Oregon and California are a small percentage of the folks moving to the state.

And Boise/Ada county is close to becoming democrat.
Many are worried that enough democrats may move to the treasure valley area and control the state....like Portland, Seattle, etc.

And after talking to many folks there, you soon realize that most that live there, have moved there over the past decade.
Very few where born there....so it's really a non-issue.

The only real problem for Idaho....
The price of houses has gone up the past few years....not enough on the market.....but they have been on a building spree in the treasure valley.
This also caused an issue with wages not growing as quickly.
Infrastructure for the influx of people is lagging.

Please don't move to Idaho. You wouldn't like it here, Todd. You should stay in Vista...

My biggest pet peave is with the driving habits. Living in Humboldt, there is virtually ZERO traffic. We generally drove fairly nicely with one another. The So-Cal folks who drive like a bat-out-of-hell wherever they go really get on my nerves. I had a young girl from California cut me off, try to push me off the road and I just decided it was going to be standing my ground or getting in a crash. She honked like a mad woman, flipped me the bird, and drove off at probably 85 down the road afterward. Things like this are becoming more common.

The sad truth is if people were A-holes were they came from, they wont change for the better much when the go somewhere else. Most people leaving CA are doing it for financial reasons I bet. It cant be for the weather. Their gonna bring all their bad sh.t with them.

I think we've all almost been run off the road by Karen in her Prius with California plates sporting coexist and I'm with HER bumperstickers.

I have a friend that works for ISP and they love citing people with California plates but it's not as if they have to go out of their way to target them, they are usually tailgating, speeding or changing lanes without using an indicator. A bonus is marijuana is highly illegal here and they arrest a lot of people for bringing it in.

when i go outside of California if i compare anything it is always to make the other people feel lucky they are not in California. I try to adapt to local custom and ways even though my car says California by it tags. As for food I have found better places to eat outside of California since we are nothing but fast food now. In california Mexican is taco bell, Italian is round table, and seafood is frozen trash fish. If someone cannot adapt to where they want to move and admit they left their old home because too many leftists turned it into a dump site then they need their parole revoked and sent back to the prison they came from. A new life means new ways, new ideas, and fitting in with the new neighbors. That is why people dislike californians because they cannot adapt to a new life. it is a shame.
