Default Pistol Scope with long eye relief?

Hello Brain Trust of CGN.
I am thinking of scoping a Mark II with a 10" barrel.
I have long arms and will need a long eye relief.
Not looking for a pricey "MAGNUM" rated pistol scope..

What do you like? Pics? GREAT!
Thanks
B

Fixed power or Variable?

Interesting.
To answer the questions,
This will be used 20+ yards out, to as far as I can see. So like 21 22 yards lol.
But seriously, 50 tops
I like what I have read on the Nikon.

But may be helpful to have mildots for drop as well.
Not sure. Scoping a pistol is all Greek to me

In OP you mentioned "Mark II". May I presume you mean a Ruger?

If so how much "drop" are you expecting that would require Mil-Dot reticule, at 50 yds?

I would suggest a 4X max. if for hunting. And 2 to 2.5x for plinking/paper puncher. The more magnification, the more every little wiggle and waggle of the muzzle is amplified in the sight picture. Any more than that, and you will just be "chasing the crosshairs".

My few scoped handguns are Contenders and an XP-100 hunting guns. So they wear 4X Leupolds. But a Mark II Ruger for plinking or 50 yd paper punching doesn't have to contend with recoil.

I've had very good luck with Simmons scopes on 22lr rifles. I would give their Pro-hunter 4x or if you're looking for possible future longer ranges from a bench. Might give their 2-6x Pro Hunter line a look. The Japanese optics in those models give very clear sight pictures.

I'd go with a scout scope. I have average length arms and I've never seen a handgun scope that didn't make me bend my arms a lot more than I'd like to. I tried to scope my 500 S&W with a Leupold FX-II 4x28 and didn't dare even dare shoot it for fear of splitting my skull it was so close.

Correct pacrat a Ruger mark 2.

Paul, hope you are well my man!
Scout, never thought about that, makes a lot of sense. My arms look like a baby giraffe legs. The longer eye relief the better
Thanks man

If you want long eye relief... can you stand a red dot?

No magnification

But eyes, dot and target all on the same field of focus.
