New AR build cycling issue
Just built a new AR-15. Seems to run fine.
Only problem is every so often (maybe twice per 10 round mag At most) it won’t load a new round from the mag. It ejects the spent shell no problem but every so often I’ll pull the trigger and nothing because a round wasn’t loaded. Have to pull the bolt back to chamber the next round. There was a few instances were the bolt didn’t go all the way forward as well. Any ideas what could be the issue?

What kind of gas block do you have. I had same problem once, turned out the gas block was comming loose because the block I have was held on by set screws and was comming loose & losing pressure. Some red thread lock and an allen key fixed it.

If it ejects cases at the trajectory of a limp dick, check the gas system.
3-4 o’clock ejection and lands 2 feet from your right foot?

Sounds like it might be under gassed or the buffer is too heavy so the bolt isn't going back enough.
As others said, make sure the gas key isn't loose and gas isn't blowing out anywhere weird.
