Default Best scope for Gamo Shadow Whisper

Hello,
My sons both got a Gamo Shadow Whisper velocity break open air rifle.
And one of the scopes broke immediately.

We cant afford expensive scope.
Any recommendations for a durable scope thats $100 or less?

I read UTG Bug Buster was a good scope.

What do you guys recommend. My boys use their scopes to plink in backyard and want to hunt with them too.

They already have 22s for hunting as well. The air guns are just for fun

maybe check airgunnation.com for scopes that will not break, or call doug at cameralandny.com and ask him what will not break for a price you can afford.

Wow is there really nothing at $100. Dissapointing. Darn air rifle suppose to be for fun. Not to invest hundreds into like a typical rifle.

Hawke scopes might work for you, they are supposed to be pretty durable for spring powered airguns. I would check them out.

not saying this is the best deal but with a little googling that one popped up.

The Bug Buster are rather short scopes, good just short. Take a look at the Accushot (also made by UTG) in other models and get more flexibility in mounting as well. They are reliable, clear and have parallax adjustments and often come with illuminated reticles if you into such things.

You can find them on sale or at very reasonable prices (less than $150) and they hold up very well. I even put one on a .308 and I can run the el and wind back and forth, do the box return and they always come right back to zero. I have a UTG QD mount for it and the scope gets taken off and put back on every time the rifle goes out and it holds zero as good as anything ese.

For rimfire and air rifles I use the UTG/Accushots all the time and they just work.

Yeah it stinks that break barrel air rifles break scopes, but they do

The bug busters are great little scopes and can be found for $85
I really dig the UTG 3-16x44 swat scopes.
Can be found for 120-130$ range
Much MUCH better imo.

The bug busters are nice, but the center dot, is YUGE.
If punching paper, and tight groups are what ya want. Go with the swat.

Either way, have fun!
