Bacon, NICE 24-3.

I'm hoping to be lucky enough to grab Pre-24 1950 Target Models one of these days. I had my hands on one with a bright blue finish that ranked as what I would call 85%, seller still wanted 850 for it which was too rich for my blood. If the thing had been an honest 95% or better then I'd pay out the nose to get it in my collection.

I'll settle for a 24-3 one of these days if I can't find one of the cherished premodels. Holding out for Pre 24, Pre 25, and if possible one of the rare 45LC variants.

Atleast with a 24-3 I wouldn't feel bad using it as a shooter.

Roboshred I think you have a one heck of a fine collection. Those 1911s and revolvers really speak to me. Trouble is they're starting to keep me up at night.

Picked up another handgun today. I won't even have ammo for it for another month, but I couldn't resist.

My Doctor say's I should try to build my upper body strength, so I really need to mount another rail somewhere to get the weight up to more like 10 or so.

Need a little help on posting pics; I have many interesting rare itmes that many here might like to see; many guns you may NEVER see elsewhere, many "1 of 20 in the world" stuff (no, really).

So if I am dumb on this, sorry; how is everyone posting the pics within the post, as well as so large and detailed? Is it by linking to a separate url/your website? The pics I took are great, but I don't have a website. So am I S.O.L.?

Is there a way to load them here and still be able to shrink them in kb without shrinking the actual size viewed in the post? How do I have them show within the thread rather than as a jpg link?

I checked the details on some photos some of you have posted by right clinking properties, but I can't figure what I am doing different. What photo program do I need to use? I shrink them or compress them to match those sizes, but when I post them, they link from the jpg link no bigger than avatars!

The first set of pics are mundane, but I was trying to post was of several H&K's as that seemed to be of popular insterest here. I have nice pics of my 5 H&K P7 guns (an early PSP in its wood case, an early M8, an M10, and 2 M13's - both early models). Then I have an early P9 (no S) in blue not matte with a super low serial number, and a P9S in .45, as well as 4 VP70Z's with 2 "NIB" in 9x21mm (only 400 were made in 9x21mm). Then I had a coll evolutionary photo of the above leading up to my H&K USP .45 Elite. Layed out side by side you can see the progression of the style.

Any tips???

.

I had some trouble as well. I tried to use the search but to no avail. I found by trial and error that I needed to use an image host for larger images and decided to use Photobucket as it seems very popular and free for now. Once they are uploaded to the host below them there are three fields labeled URL, TAG and IMG. I found when I copied and pasted the one labeled TAG into the body of my post, it contained the proper instructions to have the image appear in the body. On the host I think the size limit is around 500K. That's plenty. I use Photoshop to resize as it allows compression with or without resizing but you can use windows to simply resize images although I'm not sure exactly how (in windows). I do know if I right click on an image in windows and "send to" email recipient, it opens a resize dialog. Just not sure after that. I hope this helps some although it is in no way a complete tutorial. I would love to see the P7s for sure as well as some of the others so I wish you luck!
