Default Vepr AK - What's the best AK to M4 stock adapter?

akakakak.jpg

I just got my Vepr AK out of jail today, and I'm thinking about changing out the stock for a collapsible M4 stock. My only two concerns are:

1. Will the adapter fit the thicker 1.5mm receiver okay?
2. Will the adapter make the buffer tube straight or slant upwards like I've seen with some other rifles?

Does anyone have any experience with the Vltor, RD, Krebs, etc. adapters for these rifles? I own the Strike Industries adapter and have tried that with another AK once, but i couldn't get it to align completely straight (not the best pic but you can kinda see below).

Thanks!

You know, I've been kinda looking for that adapter but I cannot find it online anywhere... I even looked on the DA website and couldn't find it there for the life of me

They are only sold via AKOU. This is better than the RD unit as it's stronger, the mounting hardware is burlier.

The VEPR has a thicker RPK pattern and not AKM pattern receiver.

i've ran a vltor buffer tube adapter in my SGL for some time. I don't know if you would have clearance issues due to the thicker receiver though... shoot me a pm if you are interested. I am going featureless so I went back to the standard stock.

@Thechef and Click Boom I do like that the Vltor is one single piece, making less room for something to be screwed in all crooked or something. If it sounds like Vltor is a good option for the rifle then I'll probably pm you then, thanks
