Default Placer changing no gun modification rule?

Heard a rumor that Placer County is changing their no gun modification rule. Can anyone confirm this? Would really like to add a laser to my conceal weapons.

Buy a gun with factory installed laser. It solve the No Modification issue.

A friend of mine just modified his permit about 3 weeks ago by adding a Kahr CM9. I plan on moding my permit tomorrow by deleting a Sig and adding a shield. I'll let you know how it goes.

What do you mean?

A. You can add or delete guns on your permit as long as you provide certificate of qualification for those guns.

B. You can't modify any handgun. Only modifications allowed is if they come from the factory that way (i.e. laser)

I attended a community event in early May where a Placer County Sheriff employee stated in our conversation circle that Placer would be changing their no handgun modification policy to allow aftermarket lasers. The gentleman stated that their website would update with this change in policy information within the next 60 days. I have been searching for any news online to confirm this information. The person who stated this was very credible. As a result, I was curious if anyone here had heard the same information.

My bad. I thought the question was about modifying a permit rather than a gun. Thats what i get for multi-tasking. All my carry guns have night sights and my Glocks have extended slide lock levers but no trigger mods.

Anyway, for what it's worth.....the mod to my permit took 10 mins. Quick and painless.

I should have explained myself a bit better from the start. Sorry about that.

I appreciate the feedback regarding your appointment. Congratulations. Glad it went well. I'm going in for my qualifying appointment in early July.
