200 is stiff?

You should price out some of the more quality blades.

Buy once - cry once. If you are prone to losing things stick with a $20 knife.

Don't buy from Amazon or eBay possibly picking up a knock off is high

Give Smoky Mountain Knife Works in Tennessee a cal and ask about the knife in your search, 800-251-9306. They stock many different brands.

I picked one up on Black Friday from knivesshipfree.com for $145.

I'm not seeing any sales on them anywhere at the moment.

$200 is entry level.

Quality over quantity.

You are a little better off if you buy from the manufacturer's Amazon site, but even then there are a lot of storefronts pretending to be real manufacturers. Amazon is going to kill their golden goose if they become too associated with counterfeits. They may be making tons of money now, but once the reputation is lost it's impossible to regain.

I gave up on FleaBay a long time ago for just that reason.

I collect a lot of knives mostly vintage . Not sure if it would be a good source for you but I have found Arizona knives online a place that has good selection from lots of makers and price ranges ,$25 -$10k and above....No there not in Arizona,I think they made there name as such to be a first to pop up on a online knife search.
