I called today (13 Jan 12) and it is closed to shooting throughout the SBNF due to fire danger. She said it probably wouldn't reopen until a good rain due to the dry conditions.

I wish, the ranger station said till we get some substantial rain and it will be at least a few weeks after that till they dicide to open it again, but this next weekend looks like more rain. A few storms in a row should get us closer.

I had the pleasure of shooting in Bee Canyon last month. Had a great time and met some pretty decent people. I would like to join you all on Feb 26th for the Clean-Up if you'll have me. I'll even try to convince some of my shooting buddy's to join in too.

I would definitely be down to go help clean up the place, but I can't really take any trash with me because I ride a motorcycle.

I called the ranger station yesterday and asked if Bee Canyon was open. I was told it would be open beginning today. If anyone is going out there, I suggest you call and make sure it is indeed open.

Default Clean up at Bee Canyon.

Had a great time at Bee Canyon this morning. Took a load of trash out with me but still barely scratched the surface of all that's up there. Hopefully we'll be able to put a dent into it this weekend.

how would I get to bee canyon if I was coming from temecula (hwy 79/371)? I asked one of the firemen at the Anza station a while back but still wasn't sure, so I just drove around checking out the scenery.

Default Moderate fire rating

What exactly does a moderate fire restriction mean? Shooting all day? I'd hate to drive all the way out and the canyon be closed.

Is there a fee for shooting at Bee Canyon? Do they have a regular set of lanes and targets? Please advise.

P.S. This is the Bee Canyon off of Portola Parkway in Irvine... right?
