How are we going to recognize each other when we meet up at the Hat? "Hello my name is..." stickers or do we have to wear gun shirts to scare the sheeples:

I bet there'll be more BSing than shooting, which I don't mind.

I'll post my cell phone number a couple days before the meet and everyone will be able to call me, it should be pretty easy since we already have pictures of some of us up (=

Hey Eric, to make things simple, I think you should wear something that would leave no doubt as to who you are.
I suggest you wear this... (actually, I see a resemblance ) Those glasses give you away

Most outdoor ranges don't allow steel core ammo, at Angeles they'll spark against steel (pretty easy to spot at dusk). Especially in this dry heat it can cause fires.

Hey folks,

Just a few notes at the range. Range fee is $14, there are $2 coupons available on their website. www.angelesranges.com .

Theres a chance it may be a hot day at the range, bring a cooler with plenty of liquids. There's a vending machine at the back of the sign-in office for $0.50 for each soda. Beware, sometimes that soda machine likes to take your dollar bills and not give change.

If everyone goes to Angeles after the lunch, we might have the opportunity for the largest game of HORSE. For those unfamiliar with our games of HORSE, it's played on the steel swingers from the 35 yard line out to 100 yards. Centerfire pistols 9mm on up. It'll be a lot of fun, so bring your tack-driving pistols.

If you haven't seen it before, the steel we'll be shooting.

If you have a shotgun, we can play Annie Oakley. You can buy clay cards at the sign in office. Also known as "Big chip, little chip," you'll be breaking some small pieces of clay by the end of the day.

As mentioned, no steel core ammo. They'll check your ammo with magnets. There will be 3 standing steel plates at the 100 yard line for general plinking. Target stands are available at the office for $4 deposit.

.22 rifles or handgun caliber rifles are a lot of fun on the swinging steel.

Bring whatever you can, you can shoot shotgun, rifle, pistol or blackpowder on the pistol side.

It'll be a fun day, see ya all then.

Rich was doing a field strip of his Les Baer when....OOPS!...out flew his recoil spring into the wild blue yonder. We had to wait til the next line break to fetch it.

That's when the RO said: "Line is clear. You may go forward and place or fetch your targets....and get your recoil springs."

That is funny. I anticipate some real fun with you clowns. I cant wait until the 20th because it sounds like a ton of us will be there. I also know that the Baer owners will be in their own click so dont get upset about it.

Those stray recoil springs make good targets for .22 shooters. Bring extras!

Bring enough for a couple hours of fun without running out mid-day. I'll be bringing 550 rds of .22, 100 of 12ga. 200 of .45 and 200 of 9mm

Look for the pictures of us in my "Angeles: June 28th shoot". There's pictures of us also at the front of the page.

I'll be driving a black 4runner to the Hat, so be on the lookout. You can also PM Glock30 for his #.

See ya on the 20th.

As Black Majik already mentioned, you can look at the pictures to see what several of us look like. I'll try to wear a black "Glock" T-shirt

As for the OLL, I'll bring my Rock River National Match, plus a Mosin Nagant sniper rifle, a Remington 870, and some other stuff

That's awesome.
I have seen setscrew-attached muzzle brakes fly downrange too.

If the chief was going, I would consider it.
Otherwise, it will depend on what other options turn up...

List updated. Look forward to meeting everyone.

I'll be posting my number a day or two before the meet so you guys can meet us up. I don't think it'll be too hard to spot 15 of us in the parking lot, more then likely wearing some kind of gun related article of clothing.

I have a black mazdaspeed3 and super blonde hair. Just call me whitey when you see me, lol. All my friends call me that and so did many college teachers.

I dont have gun clothing so I am not sure how I will spot all you guys but I am sure it wont be hard.

Majik would you like to exchange cell numbers via PM? Perhaps since you invited me I can tag along with you and learn who everyone is.

PS just went to practice today and did quite well. 35yrds is going to be hard with 45acp depending on how big those steel swingers are. I did 25yrds today and kept 90% in the black 10 inch rifle target. 15yrds and 8yrds are tight groups for me but it sounds like we are going to be at great distances. I sure hope you all arent pros and out shoot me, lol.
