We had a good time. No pics, though; was too busy cho0tin.

Deuce arrived with his neighbor who likes to shoot bolt rifles using peep sights. This feller also had a gorgeous Petersoli (I forget the Model # and manufacturer they cloned), but it was a lever and had a palm-swell stock, 20" barrel, short tube mag, color case hardened receiver, stunning walnut and was chambered in .348 Win. His handloads looked like commercial loads. His cast bullets look machined. He shoots well too. So does Deuce!

I'll try to get back there in four weeks. I have a three-week-shift/one week down assignment. See you fellers then! I hope.

Default Burro Canyon #10 -- A Great Shoot

Apples brought out his 41 and 44 magnum levers. Beautiful rifles. The surprise of the day was when he pulled out his 1911 Springfield loaded 45ACP and plunked a 3" clay target at 50 yards in one shot. Whodathunk a lever master could do that.

Brooks' shot quarters at 100 yds with his 700 Remington action based 308 match rifle. His Italian Winchester 71 lever clone is a thing of beauty. That 348 cartridge packs a wallop and is still a very civilized shooter.

We left at noon and temperature really was not a problem. The range is under roof and stays at a reasonable temperature until mid-afternoon.

As usual, can not wait for the next outdoor shoot. It is a pleasant change from our twice a week indoor regimen and the only place to truly enjoy long guns.

Mark, you're right. We've seen Chris shoot that 1911 and his lever rifles. Dude can shoot! I need to find out what his load is for the 1911. I have a couple, but, his is pretty good too. Glad you guys had fun up there. Finally recovered from vacation with Mrs pennstater. Now for the dove opener.

Penn,
If a "dove tune-up" at B&B is in your plans, let me know. I built a Wild Bunch legal Winchester Model 12 and have yet to test it.

Doing a road trip to Phillips Saturday. Out of Unique and E3.

If you see a beautiful chopper in the parking lot, look for an ugly guy inside. I might head over there too. I need to spend my monthly reloading money.

Sorry I missed you. I didn't know my son had practice this morning. I'll be glad when he gets his driver's license . I'm too old to play Mr Mom everyday...

Golf,

Phillips always a treat. Rick is a great guy.

I hated all the chauffeur stuff for two boys. Then its over -- and you miss it.

Have a good holiday.

I'm not liking the new furniture arrangement that he did a month or so ago. I was just getting used to it. It just confuses us old guys.

I really don't know how he stays in business. His prices are right around internet prices or better. I'd like to see him expand his Missouri Bullet selection tho. He has a great selection of powder and primers. He does have a lot space to add more inventory.

Your right, Rick is a great guy and always eager to help. Its like a toy/candy store for reloaders.
