Radelow Blades Spring Series by Southwest ULR, April 2019 Match Recap
It was another beautiful Sunday to shoot Ultra Long Range, there was a slight 1-3 MPH switching wind and a relatively low pressure in the desert of the Southwest. As the sun rose over the mountains in the distance, 15 shooters lined up with heavy large caliber rifles and fired towards the far distance at the course of fire, 3 steel targets all over a mile away.
After all the shots were fired Tonny Wong was simply in another league, and crowned “Top Gun” finishing in the lead the next closest shooter was 30 points behind. Tonny was awarded with $150 of Cutting Edge Bullets, compliments of Cutting Edge. Second, Third and Forth was separated by one shot. Kurt Stone (2nd place) edged out Vince Teach (3rd place) and Ernesto (4th Place), Kurt a long-time competitor with Southwest ULR, recently upgraded his equipment and just like that, a second-place finish and he is also awarded with $150 of Cutting Edge Bullets, compliments of Cutting Edge.
John Harms earned fame and bragging rights setting a new National ULR Record, A National ULR Record is 5 hits in a row, John did this at 2132 yards. VERY IMPRESSIVE!

Our next match is 4 short weeks away, if you have a scoped and zeroed 300 Magnum or larger and never shot over a mile, you should give it a try, new shooters are welcome! We can and are happy to team you up with one of our experienced shooters, while we can’t guarantee a hit, but we haven’t failed with a new shooter yet. You will learn more the first time out with us than 20 trips to the range, that we can guarantee!
