Shot my reloads from the last reloading clinic on Friday at the Ventura Chapter meet. I could totally tell the difference between the Federal factory and the reloads. I liked the reloads better.

I watched you reload those RedMonkey, it's a lot of fun shooting ammo that you reloaded, isn't it? Might we see you at the next clinic to do some .223? ;-)

Okay guys, poll has been up for a few weeks and only seven responses, we would call that lukewarm and about half of the responses we need to actually put together a clinic for the last two months of the year. I think it is just as well, the holiday season is crazy for many of us and sacrificing a Sunday for a clinic is fun but is not always understood by family and friends as Thanksgiving, Hannukah, Kwanza, Christmas and Festivus loom.

This means we will be holding the next Ventura County Clinic in January 2014. In the meantime, we will be getting flyers out to every gun shop and range in the county, the west SFV and Santa Barbara as well. We have some big plans for 2014 for the club so stay tuned to this thread, our Facebook page and our Twitter feed for updates.

Awwwww... now that's no fun! How 'bout maybe just a brass prep clinic? Maybe 6 guys and heck, I think I could handle that clinic teaching wise. We could do it upstairs in my office where the tumbling is done now and be close to the coffee and air conditioner

C'mon guys! One last one for 2013!

I don't know Blitz, you have had this up here for a few days now and not one post showing interest, might just be too late for this year?

Does anyone in the reloading club have any of the following powders that they are willing to part with? I'm shooting a match at the end of the month, but am dry on powder. I just need a pound to carry me through the end of month.

-WST
-VV N320
-Win 231
-HP38

If so, I'd really appreciate it. Shoot me a pm for price. Thanks

Ms.EmmaPeele, are you a female? I hope so, so far, our clinics and meetings have been all guys and we need women for our club to be a success. We would be very happy to have you at our next clinic regardless of your gender or experience level, we like to have reloading newbies mixed in with the old hands, it's how we all learn.

Stay tuned to this thread or our FB page (link below), we will be announcing the January reloading clinic date soon.

Ahh, hopes dashed :-( we do need some female participation but I don't know any females who are interested in reloading unfortunately. 9mm and .223 are our most popular calibers so that won't be a problem. Look forward to meeting you at our next clinic.

We probably won't host another clinic until after the new year. If we can get 10-12 people to commit to attending another clinic before then, we will gladly host one. If not, we will host one early next year.

Wow, look what Brown Santa just dropped off for the Ventura County Reloading Club! No longer will our OC/LA brethren have to drag up all of their presses and table to our super secret reloading facility for each clinic.

Looking forward to many more reloading clinics with you all in 2014!

If any Calgunners have spare sets of reloading dies, scales, case trimmers, calipers, brass, projectiles, primers or powder, or any other stuff you are considering selling, don't do that, selling stuff is a pain, we would gladly accept your donations with much gratitude.

PM JJ805, Capybara or Stardunk for details.

We take cash too.

In all seriousness, we still need a lot of things, from shell holders to chamfering/deburring tools. If you have anything that you would like to donate, please contact us.

Definitely on board for January! Just shot my first Action Pistol course at Deadwood Boys and definitely got a hankering for doing that again. But even more definitely need to have a better way to keep the gun running!

I'll keep watching for the next event and thanks in advance to all of you folks who organize and manage these events.

Thanks tooncinator. I've been meaning to make it out to Piru to check that out, looks like mucho fun. We are meeting this weekend to build up our reloading bench, install these new presses, we will also have new flyers soon at every gun store in VC, the West Valley and Santa Barbara. Realistically, we think that the holiday season clinic isn't going to happen. Everyone just seems too busy.

Here are a few more shots to show you how we spent our Sunday. Great job Stardunk and JJ805, we are ready to rock for our January clinic. We already have five students signed up without even having set the date yet.

We have a new table welded from 3" Tubular Steel thanks to JJ805's welding and fabrication skills. We have eight new reloading presses thanks to the steady and careful financial stewardship of Stardunk.

Station 1 - RCBS Partner
Station 2 - RCBS Partner
Station 3 - RCBS Partner
Station 4 - Lee Classic Turret
Station 5 - Lee Challenger Breech Lock
Station 6 - RCBS Partner
Station 7 - RCBS Partner
Station 8 - RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme

We are very proud of our progress and can't wait to teach a new class of reloading students soon!

Thanks ready. We'll be showing off our new flyer for the club as soon as we go through as few more revisions. You guys will have this flyer for the next Ventura Gun Show and it will be on the counter of every gun store within 50 miles of here. With this reloading table and these presses, we can have clinics with 8-12 students. Nothing would thrill us more than having to build another table , buying eight more presses and hosting clinics with 16-24 students each month. We are ready, willing and able, just need to get the word out that we exist and are THE source for learning how to reload.

Hopefully you are going to be instructing and will get a chance to help us get all of these going CSA!

The Partners were a killer deal with the RCBS rebate, ended up being about $50.00 ea. if you buy five of them. The Rockchucker was donated and I donated the Lee presses, JJ805 has killer welding and design skills and made the table, JJ805 and Stardunk did the install, we are very determined to make our club take off.

I am going to hold a bit of a drawing. I have three extra Crossroads of the west gun show V.I.P. passes that expire on the 31st. If you would like to go and get in free then post and send a PM to me with a contact number so I may get a mailing address.
On Friday night I will draw two people from the names. First draw gets two passes second draw gets one. The Delmar show is scheduled on the 14th and 15th of December, Ventura and Reno both on the 21st and 22nd and Las Vegas on the 28th and 29th.

Here is the catch, you must have posted in one of the club threads prior to my offering them in this post. Making this open to any one one from any reloading club chapter.

Oh. News tidbit. Reloading club members now get a 5% discount when ordering bullets from Missouri Bullet Company www.missouribullet.com. Contact your chapter lead for the discount code.

We can all thank Bumslie this.

Wishing you all a great Holiday season.

I was shooting L10 with my Springfield XD .45 - my first attempt at the action pistol after trying the ISI course up the road. Still a lot to learn, but a good group of folks and a lot of fun.

I'll be at the Crossroads show in Ventura, sure wouldn't mind getting in for free.

What's the status on representation at a table? CGF? Reloading Club?
