While I don't have enough primers to sell them, I've gotten notifications for 2 different types of primers in stock at midway in the last 2 days. Both were still available more than an hour after getting the email as well.

Or did he show up to the lesson with 32” barrels, the instructor watched him shoot, and advised him that the rest of his fundamentals looked okay but he was too slow (implying he should reconsider using 32” barrels for skeet, despite him wanting to make it work or anyone else suggesting it can theoretically be done)? |

OK lets put all this to rest.
First: The instructor is $75/hour. For 1 hour. I got my monies worth despite what other might think. The other $45 was for the field and targets. I was fine with this as well. I know of no place including my club that I could shoot 130 rounds in 1 hour by myself with someone else pulling for me alone. I wouldn't happen so it wasn't an option. I bought the Citori CXS with 32" bbls because I wanted it, not realizing that it would be that much slower than my Citori .410 with 32" bbls. I also wanted to be able to shoot Sporting Clays with the gun by just changing the choke tubes. I even built a Cart for it. I see plenty of guys shooting 725's with 32" bbls so it can't be that bad? I can learn how to shoot it. Lynn: Thanks for the offer on the powder, but looking for Green Dot which is what I have used since I started loading 12 ga. Shot Shells 15+ years ago. I really don't like changing a machine set up as it takes way too long to get it to run right again. I called Alliant yesterday trying to find out WTF was going on with the supply. Got the same excuses you'd expect but then I got some real info,,, They only make powder to order for @18 major distributors. In other words they get and order, and they make powder for that order, and then move on. They only work on one order at a time? Even if he next order needs some of the same powder, they ignore it. One at a time period... They don't Warehouse Anything! (and I was kind of taken aback by this?) He said that's how you go broke? This was one of the stupidest things I have ever heard!!! He said they didn't want $42 Million Dollars worth of powder laying around? Don't you know where the On/Off Switch is on your machines? The the final thing was they are 2 years behind on orders. You've got to be ****tin' me? And You haven't figured out that you need to increase production? I didn't ask about expanding their production lines as I knew that he'd say "what would we do when the demand goes away and we're stuck with all these Machines and powder?" Like demand is going away any time soon (Duh You are 2 years behind on orders?) and then they could just go back from 24/7 to 12/5 and give some people the day off! [B]As it sits they will NEVER catch up to demand and never get back to normal operation! [B] I have been in business for 40+ years. I was taught early on that if there was a problem anywhere in a company,,, It was a Management Problem!!!. If you would have heard what I heard you'd agree this place has a Serious Management Problem. I am not done complaining about this problem because this was some of the stupidest **** I've ever heard. I understand that Hodgdon's owns Alliant? Maybe a call to them would shake things up? Luckily I have plenty of H110/W296 for my .410's! All made by Alliant for Hodgdon's and Winchester ! different labels on the same bottles. Randy

This is important, it's not the weight of the gun, IT'S THE BALANCE OF THE GUN! You can add weight to the butt to speed up the gun. Adding weight to the butt moves the moment of inertia closer to your body...speeding up the gun. Add 5 or 6 ounces and try it out, you'll see. BTW, the barrels on a 725 are lighter than the barrels on your CXS. PS: I don't have any Green Dot, I have Clay Dot, WST, 20/28 and Longshot. I could part with some primers if you really need them.

The minor adjustments (if needed) are easy. I several different 12 gauge recipes. Different powder, wads and shot charges. The most I've ever spent dialing in is like 20 minutes. Only a few minutes to be "good enough". A little time investment for 3000+ rounds sounds like a good trade to me. FWIW, International is a ballistic and density near twin to Green Dot.
