Any way to load only text from websites on an android phone.
Is there a way to stop autoload vids and pics from websites on a phone?
I just have trac phone for a service provider because cell does not work at my house. So I pay for data. I just want to read web pages, not look at all the darn vids. Currently using Dolphin browser and it was fine till all the embedded vids started showing up. Just had to turn off images. Not now. HTML 5 or whatever it is loads vids and sucks up data. I know I can do a 35.00 a month plan, but I just read stuff and don't want vids anyway. Besides I'm cheap Thanks. |

I think every browser on the planet "should" do that, even Firefox on Android:
Naked browser can block images, but didn't see a video checkmark... Last edited by the86d; 01-07-2019 at 6:17 PM.. |

Try different browsers until you find one the let's you do what you want.
It looks like the trim browser does text only, but css gets a bit whack there too, on Calguns s at least. |

I use naked sometimes, and that shows Calguns nicely w/no pix, but vid.thumbs are still present.
I am sure you could use the links, or Lynx browser if you rooted... Last edited by the86d; 01-16-2019 at 10:41 AM.. |
