Default USPSA Rule Changes

Rule changes highlighted in red. Most significant is the 59 oz. weight limit increase in Production and Carry Optics.

Hmmmm... that's an interesting weight limit.

Maybe they'll end up splitting CO like IPSC does (CO and CO light)?

Hmm, interesting proposition I like the sound of having a CO lite.

Lots of people got screwed over lightening their S2 to make weight for CO that's for sure.

That's a solid point (slide lightening for S2). I know of a shadow 2 guy who had to get creative during a level 2 to make weight. He ended up winning CO at that match.

They effectively made the weight limit irrelevant like IPSC

I suppose it would be pretty easy to draw the line with respect for weight, but "do we need another division" is going to be the main argument against it.

I suppose you could counter with the "IPSC does it and it makes sense to mimic it if we want send a team to the World Shoot in that division" reasoning.

I don't follow IPSC rules too much, but aren't external mods mostly forbidden for Production and PO/PO-Light?
