Default State Senators and Assembly web links

Here is a list i thought some of you could use for a quick reference instead of having to google everything.

This is for State Assembly Members. You can find which district you live in and by simply adding your address to the fields provided will match you with YOUR Assemblyman/woman. Click on the part to the left that says "Find my district"

http://www.assembly.ca.gov/defaulttext.asp

This is for California State Senators, not to be confused with Finestein and Boxer. Just click on the map in the area in which you live and it will bring you to that Senators webpage.

http://www.senate.ca.gov/~newsen/sen...strictmaps.HTP

Also here are the email adresses for the members on the Senate Pubic Safety Commitee
Elaine Alquist-<Senator.Alquist@sen.ca.gov>
Gilbert Cedillo- I wasnt able to find his email address or district on the Senate district map??? But I would imagine his email to be <Senator.cedillo@sen.ca.gov>
Bob Margett- <senator.margett@sen.ca.gov>
Carol Migden- <Senator.Migden@sen.ca.gov>
Don Perata- <Senator.Perata@sen.ca.gov>
Charles Poochigan-<Senator.Poochigian@sen.ca.gov>
Gloria Romero-<Senator.Romero@sen.ca.gov>

Last but not least the Govenor Arnold Schwarzenegger- It is noted on the site to use the form located on the page instead of the email address directly. but here are both starting with the Link to web page (recommended)
http://www.govmail.ca.gov/
And the other email (slower response times)
governor@governor.ca.gov

Maybe this can be stickied for future ease of reference so when the call goes out to send the emails/letters, Calgun members can just one stop shop here and click a few buttons.

Considering that things are coming up soon, I'll sticky this until later on in the year, when they're done with bills for this session. That's sometime in September right?

At the "Contact Info" section of our "Legislative Info" page...
http://calnra.com/legs.shtml#contactinfo
...there are "ONE-CLICK" links to send your personal email to the correct entire body for a given bill as well as links to MORE contact info for each committee/body. For example, here's the Assembly link...
http://calnra.com/legs/asm.shtml

Other bodies represented there include most committes that gun bills tend to appear before:
Assembly Appropriations Committee
Assembly Judiciary Committee
Assembly Labor & Employment Committee
Assembly Public Safety Committee
Assembly Revenue & Taxation Committee
Assembly Water, Parks & Wildlife Committee
Senate
Senate Appropriations Committee
Senate Judiciary Committee
Senate Public Safety Committee

Each link has lots of phone numbers (local and Sacramento voice & fax numbers) and every lawmaker that has public email - just click on their name.

Mike

Here is another link to find your district legislators.

http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/yourleg.html

Just type in your zip code.

And here is the link to the mainpage

http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/index.html

Post these at your local ranges as well and include relevant bill#s
