Old oats and Christmas
I hope this holy day finds you surrounded by your family and friends.
The grand kids have been making oatmeal cookies all day with 15 year old canned oats. The wife made oatmeal for the clan this morning and the kids have been making cookies all day. The oats are as fresh as the day we canned them. Raisins dried apple chips and dried banana's chips and that is a great breakfast. Okay, there was about 25 lbs of bacon involved also. Dinner for 40 plus at sunset. God Bless everyone of you and your families. So far nobody has gotten hurt on the horses and quads. Its early ! |

You can buy canned dry stuff from the LDS pantry in your area. |

Not sure they are 15 years old. I have a vineyard but they are Zinfandel grapes. We have about 60 raisin vines and we dry our own and some get freeze dried. We have 30 fruit trees and we can and dry everything. Little cold for Banana trees, we got a dusting of snow last night .

My wife and I have 9 children from 2 marriages. I divorced and she was a widower. We also adopted 3. We are a clan. Only one squabble today, one of my grand daughters decked one of her cousins. He had it coming. Such is family. We handcuffed them together to keep the peace. Just one hand, it leaves them a good hand to fight with. We are a strange group. Our home, Our rules. |
