Default I may have been the only one to buy an AR15 lately.

But the deal was too good to pass up.

DROS’d a Springfield Armory Saint. Got it for $819 before tax and DROS.

Curious to hear your thoughts on that stock after you shoot it. I've got one in the garage but never got around to installing it.

Price seems pretty steep for a basic rifle. IMO that looks like it should be closer to $600 with the way the market is now.

That is a company that I no longer patronize. They're not really known for their AR pattern rifles.

I’ve had mine for a little over a year.
It’s a good quality ar at a decent price.
The stock isn’t bad. It’s ambidextrous,
The extra mag holder in the stock is a cool feature. I’ve put close to 1,000 rounds through mine with zero issues.

Colt 6920's are meh. My PSA is better than my 6920 was and half the price.

Keep that stuff to yourself. I got some more builds I would like to do and I don't need PSA raising their prices!

I enjoy mine. The JT takedown pin thumb rest works well with this combo. I also bought one of the survivor systems adjustable stocks (Professional) and one fixed stock without the grip web (Professional MCS).

Congrats on the new rifle! I'm a bit jealous, I've built all of mine, never have bought a complete AR.

Have fun!

No joke, I'm going to buy more myself. Unfortunately the upper I bought seems to have been out of stock for quite a while.

Good score OP, every man should have an AR, or two, or four.
Enjoy your new gun

Newsome takes office and there's no mad dash to the local shop to clear out their ARs? This does not bode well for dudes hoping to retire off selling their ARs.

Half the price.....yes of coarse.

PSA is better than a Colt 6920.....I hope you don’t honestly believe that. That is a ridiculous comment.

PSA is entry level, hence the low cost. Colt is Military grade, proven durability.

I think what you mean is Colt is selling a copy of a design produced to meet a set of requirements defined by the military through an agreed validation process that may or may not actually have any bearing on reliability, but when sold to the civilian comes with no such documentation or guarantees that any of the requirements are still being met by said design.

Don’t play off “military grade” for more than it’s worth. It is what it is. It may be better than a PSA gun, or may not. You certainly aren’t going to prove that with any reasonable testing process and rigor.

Um...ok. Using that logic, I guess they are all the same. LWRC, Noveske, BCM...waste of money. Maybe I should start buying $35 NC Star scopes instead of Trijicon’s?!?!! No thanks.

For what it’s worth, I can think if 5 different mfg’s I’d rather own than Colt. Let alone PSA. I’m all for building my AR’s rather than buying complete builds anyway. Mind you...using quality components.

I don't "believe" anything with an inanimate object. But I do listen to my personal experience. Colt is completely overrated - after personally owning one - for a $1000 rifle. If it had knocked my socks off I would be whistling a different tune. After building a PSA, I could get 2 PSA's for the price of a single Colt, and the PSA shoots better than the Colt 6920 due to design differences and components choice.

Now, if the Colt were $600 (which it should be), I'd still think the PSA is better, but that really comes down to components, design, etc. A good trigger and mid length gas system ftw. Now, if my PSA breaks down under normal use I'll certainly change my tune, but from what I've read and heard 1st hand, it doesn't seem like this will be happening. But with regards to mechanical items, I don't buy into branding anymore. I buy into what works for the cheapest price.

That's not to say I don't recognize quality. If I could afford it, I'd buy a Daniel Defense or Wilson Combat.

If you pay over $1000 for an AR style rifle, you're just buying bragging accessories.

And, Ford advertises its trucks as being made of “military grade” aluminum. It dents and creases like a beer can.
