Default Amazon donations to CRPA

A plug again for using Amazon Smile, it you use Amazon already, they donate to CRPA at no cost to you! This morning I got the following email, every dollar helps, and that is a decent amount of dollars.

This is your quarterly AmazonSmile donation notification. Your charity, CRPA Foundation, recently received a quarterly donation of $7,169.39 thanks to customers shopping at smile.amazon.com.

To date, AmazonSmile has donated a total of:
$69,231.06 to CRPA Foundation
$183,120,221.33 to all charities
Thank you for supporting CRPA Foundation by shopping at smile.amazon.com. You can track your impact throughout the year at your My Impact page.

AmazonSmile is also available in the Amazon Shopping app on iPhone and Android phones. See how to activate here.

X2 on this. It does not cost you any additional money whatsoever.

I predict: As soon as the anti 2a's get wind of these donations, amazon will start blacklisting gun organizations.

How do you turn it on in the app? I don't see it anywhere, there is no AmazonSmile section of the settings, even though the instructions from Amazon say that is where it will be in the app.

Mine shows up in Settings. Maybe you need to update your app?

Thanks for the reminder. I have ordered a boat load of stuff from Amazon lately, but always forget about this. It's set up now, so no more excuses!

Wow, I was unaware I could do this and had donations turned off because I figured they would be going to some liberal causes.

Turning on now for CRPA! Thanks for the heads up.

Just did it. Hopefully amazon doesn’t figure out what CRPA foundation is. They’re pretty “woke”

I don't see CRPA in the charity list, nor California Rifle. Any other names to search for?

EDIT: Weird. When I search charities for CRPA it does not come up. When I clicked "change" to change my current charity, the search box on the next page found it.

ScittsBad, that's what I found as well. I had California Gun Rights Foundation as my charity. When I searched Charities for CRPA nothing came up. When I used the "change" button then searched from there it popped up. Ive got it changed now. Thank you!

When I go to Settings in my APP, I don't see anywhere that leads to Smile charities. I have it confirmed on my desktop, but do 99% of my purchases via the APP and want to make sure they are receiving credit.

Thanks for the tip on this... I changed my charity to CRPA. As was noted it was not available for search immediately. I had to go through different layers of pages and finally found it. Don't ask me how.

Forgive me for being a skeptic, but has anyone discovered if there is a catch to all this? There's got to be a catch to everything.

Same here, but kind of sad how little actually goes to them. I've spent hundreds of dollars on Amazon since making CRPA my charity a few months ago, and it has generated all of $3.81 for them as of today.
