Went to Turners corona over the weekend and it was the last time I will ever step foot in their store. I was in the area and had time to kill, but also needed a couple items for my cleaning kit. I wanted to check out a couple rifles, but the 6 workers behind the gun counter decided they were more busy joking about the female workers *** then to ask me if I needed any help. I even stood looking at the acogs for a few minutes just to see if someone would ask me if I was looking for something.

This is the 2nd time ive been in that store and both times they had beyond horrible service. I get asked weekly by my friends where to go and I will tell them anywhere but turners. Id rather deal with the long lines and high prices at bassproshop then go there again.

Side note, Warrior One is growing and they are trying to get their name out there. They bought the space next door and are tearing down the wall to expand. They mentioned will have a large area where they will deal Oakley products. These guys are really laid back and love to chat. Last time I went they asked me if I wanted to see a .338 Lapua Barrett rifle they just got in. I had no intention of buying an $8,000 rifle but they were happy just to show it off.

Bought a number of guns from turners riverside- now corona. Usually pretty good people there.

Bullseye Riverside- decent customer service. Jumps on the price gouging band wagon. I wont forget that......

Centerfire- riverside. Great customer service- unfortunately has a hard time getting new inventory. Place has been around for YEARS.... I try to buy something everytime I walk in there.

Warrior one.... overpriced all tacticool. Expect everyone to act like they're a 'high speed operator'.... Funny as heck when I pointed out to the guy his cheap chinese knock off harris bipod was mounted backwards on his overpriced wanna be m21...... He said 'it's a harris'. me- 'nope... a real harris doesnt have that little wire going accross from side to side- I can tell from here it's a cheap knock off.... and it's backwards....'

Never heard of norco Armory, I'll have to check it out.

For me, it has to be Ernie from Tin Star Supply in Oak Hill. Great service, great prices.

I will say positive things about Turners in Corona and Rancho, EXTREMELY NEGATIVE things about the San Bernardino/Colton turners. My god if I EVER go there again it will be too soon.
Smaller shops around in Riverside Centerfire is okay, but expensive and snobbish at times. Warrior one, HAR. Sorry but they are just expensive and quick to talk smack on Centerfire. Bullseye though, very good. I can see them being around after all of this crap is done. Them and Turners, I have not been to Annie get yer gun... I have no problems about giving my money to Bullseye and no problems giving my money to Turners in Corona. In fact, I would say Turners in Corona and Bullseye are very good.

JW guns were pretty good too, but they could be a bit rough around the edges for some of the slactivist faceshmuck people that might go there to shop. You know, the delicate ones that would come here and ***** and moan about how they were treated because they had INFIDEL inscribed on their dust cover of their M4 or whatever...

yes that was a j/k

I think it's oak hills. Think Hesperia. Take the 15 up Cajon pass and take the first exit.

Steel water firearms in temecula would be my favorite. Fast and best customer service you'll find at a gun shop just bought a mossberg 590a1 from them about a week ago at a very competitive price and couldn't be happier.

I have used Turners in Chino Hills and Corona and they were both ok. Can be rather hit or miss. Went into Annie's Get Your Gun for the first time to do a trade a few days ago. I couldn't be more impressed. They were super friendly and ready to help. I was waiting a few minutes for the other gentlemen to arrive and they asked if I would like some cold water. They knew we were there for a trade and weren't going to be getting much money out of us. None-the-less they were friendly and very efficient. Go both sets of paperwork filled out completed in under 20 minutes. It's taken me a hour to do a simple PPT before and this was essentially two. Will definitely be going back!

I went to HIT in Upland and they were very helpful with a little problem I had with my stock. They even greased up my BCG just to show me how much smoother it felt. Pretty cool guys. Prices are fair.

Id disagree, did you see the 30 round rebuilds they were selling for $70? Or the 20 rd boxes of random .223 for $20? Cool guys but the prices are high.

Somewhat of a attitude. From the looks of em maybe they were just hungry so I'll cut them some slack.

When Turners or Bass Pro have things in stock are not too bad... they are just so close to my home its convenient... I would love Cal Arms, or Ammo Bros but it just seems like their prices have just not dropped at all!

Warrior One for sure, Norris was willing to help me (via email) get my hands on a Gen4 G17, which was probably two years ago now. However I ended up with a Gen3 through PPT. Funny thing was I had never been in there until yesterday and am glad I went. Everyone was cool to talk with and welcoming. I will say that they have/had one of the better deals I've seen in some time on 5.56 (box of 500). Decent pricing on 9mm bulk reloads too.

Anways, the only shops I've been to out here are Turner's (Chino and Corona) Annie's, Bass Pro and Warrior One. I personally like to window shop most of the accessories, ammo and knives. I've had good experiences at the Chino Turner's and Corona for the most part too. Their customer service was helpful at both locations. My only criticism would be in regards to Corona, where I overheard some knife law FUD. I don't think I'd buy anything from them unless I had the money (say the same for Bass Pro) or M&P's went on sale again and are actually instock.

Bass Pro, what's more to be said that hasn't been already? Haha. Love the store and the atmosphere, but I'll only spend my money there if I'm desperately needing to burn a hole in my pocket or have a gift card. Annie's is great, PPT my first handgun there and have gone back since. I've yet to check out Norco Armory despite my close proximity, gotta change that soon.

One day I'd like to check out the other shops mentioned, as I'm always looking for a new place to spend money it seems haha.

I have bought several guns this year at Counter Strike Firearms in Hemet..Greg is very competitive price wise. He has special ordered several of them. He is on FB and Yelp. Open Tues-Sat 10-6 Worth checking out especially if you live close to here. It beats driving to Riverside or Ontario.

My first stop is always Norco Armory. Jeff is a great guy. I'll stop in there frequently just to chat with him and his wife. Always gives great advice

Unlike many places that would just take your money, I watched Jeff talk a guy out of putting a break on a hunting rifle stating the FPS will decrease, it's expensive to do, once you break it, it's hard to go back, and even if you do, you have to cut the barrel, yadda yadda stuff I don't know. Told the guy straight up that it wasn't a good idea and for the money he should get a less powerful gun plus ammo (kid's first hunting trip). Sucks to be told that your idea isn't great, but it saves you a lot of money. I'll prob have him do some work to my Beretta M9 soon

Next would be Annie's in Corona just because it's down the street, then Turner's in Corona (I'll usually swing by Wal*Mart/ Big 5 for an ammo check while I'm over there too, lol)

I absolutely agree... I have gone back to the Shootist a few times hoping for better service, but the guys behind the counter are gun snobs, and they treat you like your an idiot when you have questions.

My top are
1. Turners in Murrieta
2. Warrior1 in Riverside
3. Faith Armory in Temecula (gun prices are high but service is exceptional)

Turners Temecula. I went there the other night with this thread fresh in my mind and was pleasantly surprised by all of the staff working behind the counter. I did not see any smug or pompous attitudes, just helpful staff helping customers. Richard was great and very helpful to deal with. Like Arnold said, "I'll be back."

I purchased a pistol there about a month ago, and I went back on Nov 30 and inquired about another pistol that went on sale. Due to the 30 day wait I have to wait until Friday to DROS the new one. Anyways... The gentleman helping me out said wait here I'll be right back. When he came back he had me sign for a gift card ($70.01), and proceeded to tell me that the pistol I recently purchased went on sale so that is the difference.

In my opinion that is way above average customer service!

Its nice to see threads about some of the positive experiences at out LGSs vs all the bashing ones. I get it, people in general are more likely to take the effort to complain vs praise. And if I were screwed I'd want to shout it from the mountaintops to both warn others and serve my own purposes.

I have been to the Shootist, Turners, Steel water and Faith Armory. The Shootist is always crowded and customer service is not their forte.
Turners is fairly new (Temecula location) and can get pretty crowded, it kind of reminded me of a Big 5 with pistols. You actually have to take a number there.
Steel water is also new and pretty small. I can't really rate the place and I actually kind of feel bad for them, since Faith is right across the street from them (literally, directly across) and about 4x the size. Last but definitely not least...........
Faith Armory is hands down the winner. Huge selection of everything (with the exception of a Pierce Glock 27 fingertip extension, which they offered to order for me) from ammo to guns and a lot of knowledge and know how. Check em out.

I live in Oak Hills, about a 7 min drive from Tin Star. After seeing this thread I figured I'd give him a shot and now have really no reason to go anywhere else. As long as you don't mind that he doesn't have display cases and such it's great, won't find better customer service than Ernie.

The Shootist: I've been in there over the last 10 years of living in Murrieta. They have gotten better, but still have some grouchy fools working there. I won't buy anything big there though. Last time I was there they had a large selection of AR's. I remember not to long ago when they would talk to you like you were a felon just for mentioning "AR".

Steelwater: Have not stepped foot in there. Hate to say it, but with Faith right there, what's the point.

Faith: One stop shop. As was said, a touch overpriced on their gun prices, but the have overhead. Pretty decent guys there, good selection, accessories and a dedicated archery section/range. All in all, a pleasant place to walk into.

+1 for Annie's Get Your Gun in Corona, did a PPT there today and literally done and out the door in 15min....that was after leaving Turner's in Chino Hills as the "Store Mgr" was a real jerk to us.

Ammo Bros in Ontario is always pretty good; Turner's in Rancho Cuc seems legit (only been there twice), Turner's San Bernardino is hit or miss.

I do not mind paying a little more or driving a little further for good service

Turner's in a Chino Hills. Friendly, helpful and the guy I usually deal with is Casey the hunting manager. Top notch guy.

They made a somewhat bad situation (that was no fault of their own) right and they didn't really have to. They could have easily passed the buck and they didn't. They will continue to get my business.
