First off let me explain , I have been a Good Calgunner On here , Fair, Have given Great Deals, Been Honest, Great Communications, LOOK at My iTrader Scores, Back in 2012 i had a stroke in my Optic nerve and now am blind in my left Eye, 2015 Diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, Had Removed, Have Edema In Both Legs', And Peripheral Neuropath in Both Legs, IM on Disability and live month to month on My disability Checks... SO IM ON A BUDGET..... I have NEVER Been SCAMMED Till a week ago... I had a Add up looking for a AR15 in a 7.62x39 Platform 16".... I got a I.M From a NEW Calgun Member ethanjordan stating he new or HAD a Friend In Indiana Selling One...Heres his message.... http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/p...&pmid=26131064. I Messaged Mikel Barrios Email barriomikel@gmail.com He messaged me almost right away... I ask him a few questions, (Pics) and what not and he Emailed me right away with Pics and answered my questions. We continued to talk in Email for 3 days Then i gave him my Cell # which would be easer to talk to... We Text for 2 and 1/2 days later, and he would answer me right away... Thursday evening Calif time 10pm I sent him the money per paypal. He asked me to send it to his wife email and i did... The next Day Last Friday he sent me a message and gave me a Tracking Number THAT WAS NO GOOD.. And NOW HES NOT Responding Text, Email, Phone calls... His wife even said she got the payment and shes Poof gone as well.... DONT DEAL WITH ethanjordan, His BUDDY mikel barrios THEY ARE SCAMMERS.... Don't look for guns that is available in CA out-of-state.
If it was some rare *** long gun they never distribute to CA, then maybe..., but a 762 AR? Dime a Dozen in CA, no need to look out-of-state. Off-roster? Nope you ain't getting it. ricealbert776 he responded to my WTB post for a glock 17 gen 3 oem slide by sending me a pic of a glock 19 gen 5 complete gun.. i replied in a PM to him that i was looking for a glock 17 gen 3 oem slide to which he reply was "is this not what you are looking for?" if you are clueless as to what someone is looking for and what you are trying to sell then that should be a red flag..

Not sure if I should even be posting this but here it goes.
Watch out for possible buyer who goes by Juan79. He contacted me on a pistol I am selling. Wanted more pics and gave me his phone number. After a few days of back and forth we agreed on a price. He said he was going out of town and would contact on a specific day when he got back. A day after said date I sent him a text with no reply. Haven't heard anything since. No big deal HOWEVER His page says he joined back in July of this year. When I went to send him a message on CG It wouldn't let me because it says his inbox is full. Isn't that like 5k messages?? That seemed really odd to me for a page that was started in July 2020. I hope he isnt a scammer and if I am wrong then I will apologize. Just thought I would share.

Put a post in WTB for an CZ SP-01 and M9A1, He replied he had both, however sent a picture of an M9 and M9A1 instead of CZ+M9. 0 history, new account. I entered ricealbert776 into google and his username pops up on numerous forums with a recent join date of last week. Website forums like parrotpilots, glocktalk, beyond3d, toyotasupra, midnight runs, audi-sport, irt-dc5.club, watchuseek, savannahcatchat, kar98k, toyota86, lexus.
That's a lot of forums to join within the past week with him responding to other another WTB for watches. Seems too suspicious I don't know. He also responded to my WTB ad but something seemed off. Quote:

I then told him again what I was looking for and he finally sent a photo of the correct LMT BCG 308 in a brand new packaging and he says here I have a new one I just got. Funny enough that same photo was from google images.

I sent mine USPS on 11/4 and he provided a valid tracking number the same day. Mine arrived to him 11/9. As of today the other tracking number still says, "USPS awaiting item". Communication was on point until I mailed the slide, then super spotty, now I haven't heard from him in a week. He's been active here since he stopped returning my texts.

I'm all for calling out scammers, but naming people just because they are new? What purpose does that serve? I'm new to THIS forum, but that doesn't mean I can't contribute. I am here looking to buy and for info on one of my hobbies. Everyone starts somewhere and being new shouldn't exclude you from being accepted. Y'all should call out folks who have done something wrong...but not just because they are new, IMO. PPT's are scary business for some.
