NRA response?

It is way past time for LaPierre to go. His corrupt administration of the NRA is the basis for this lawsuit, even if the cause is more hidden. The cause is to eliminate the NRA; La Pierre has given them the means to try.

So sad all this has happened with the NRA. Doesn’t surprise me all that much because money is always involved and some people can’t get enough even though they already have way more than they need.

I’m a long time member and supporter of the NRA. I get their print magazine every month and there’s not a wisp of this scandal anywhere in it but of course there’s article after article about sending more money to them over and over.

They have been a great defender of our 2nd Amendment rights but if all this scandal is true, it’s such a sad state of affairs.

By the way, they have ramped up their membership drive exceedingly as I now get a thick envelope almost weekly asking me to extend or upgrade my membership and even add extra money to it.

I want to continue to believe in their good intentions for us gun owners but this money scandal has me balking. I hope the NRA doesn’t go down in flames because of greedy people.

Sadly, this very scenario has played out quite a lot in not just Portland, but also Minneapolis. We have White people claiming Antifa support destroying Black-owned businesses. As the son of a Black man myself, I must ask you: is that somehow supporting "civil rights"?

If your answer is no--and I sincerely hope that it is--then the follow-up question is: are these people defending these Black-owned businesses wrong somehow, and if so, how?

In light of the above, I would think that the NRA would and should be actively promoting the Second Amendment especially in communities of color. The businesses that aren't getting destroyed--the parking lots that aren't getting burned--all that--those are the ones that are guarded by armed folks. The rioters see those armed defenders and go elsewhere.

Conclusion: an armed society apparently really is a more polite society.

Since the NRA is into promoting and preserving the 2A, this is exactly what they should be using in a nation-wide campaign. They should be going into especially predominately-minority communities and pointing this out. When I see these White rioters destroying Black and other communities of color, I think of the "Black Wall Street" riots in Tulsa, OK. It's just like that. They're firebombing these Black and other predominately POC communities. I'm having trouble imagining a better case for the 2A than this.

The NRA should be pointing this out. Why aren't they??
