Can anybody find a picture of the "Extreme Tactical - Alaskan Hunter" by Satern, Beowulf, and Templar Consulting llc.?

The AR style rifle was in this months American Rifleman magazine, selling for $17,600.00! Two rifles made, one was a gift to Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

I think it's an amazing piece of art.

Yeah that point just hit my wallet again... Now swapping out the Redi Mag for a Redi Mod and will probably end up ditching the M910 in favor for a 6P with a clickie tailcap and Larue FUG

I decided to go OD green with this lightweight carbine build.

I had an extra upper without a lower (yeah, I know I have it backwards) so I decided to build up on a Kaiser Defense lower and complete it. This is a nice lightweight carbine - just 7 lbs 3 ounces with optics installed.

Specs:
CMMG 14.5" lightweight upper with permanent phantom flashhider
Midwest Industries free-float
PRI big latch
PRI flip sight, Midwest Industries rear
EOTech 511
Kaiser Defense lower w/ Raddlock AR
Magpul MOE grip
Magpul CTR stock
Magpul Pmag 10/20
Magpul ASAP sling plate
Magpul enhanced trigger guard

the ever changing AR.....gotta love it

I started out with 12" DD M4 rails...then I put 9" DD M4 rails on it...then it became an FDE build...then I put 9" DD Omegas on it...then I went back to 12" but I kept the Omegas...I like them cause they are very slim and tight to the barrel....

I think the only way you're ever really done with an AR is when your bank account says "$0" and stays there

All she needs now is the Magpul CTR in FDE that should be on my doorstep sometime today...I will, of course, post pics when it is in and installed.

EBR came in today... I had to mess with my Redi-Mag a bit to get them to play nice together but overall I am really happy with it

Just have to wait till next week so I can run some rounds through it

you and me are in the same boat, I spent nearly $1800 so far on my AR, I remember trying to budget $1100 now I am laughing at myself, I still need to buy a EOtech and flip up sights, which will be another $750, problem is, I'm broke atm, I will gladly accept any donations

Although I'll end up replaceing the grip with a black Ergo or perhaps a MIAD at some point in the future, she's pretty much done now. I've got a low-profile QD mount coming for the ACOG, but have no idea when it will get here.

Nylon cord. I'd initially thrown it on as a quick and temporary sling attachment, and after I no longer needed the sling, I kinda liked the way it looked. Dunno how it will hold up to firing, and I dunno if I'll keep it on before the first test at the range.

Haha yeah it is

And in keeping with the thread, swapped out the Redi-Mag for a BFG Redi-Mod and installed a Timney trigger....

Bro, I can not wait to get this thing out to the range later this week... The trigger pull is nice and all but the overtravel on reset (or lack thereof) is what has me excited

The trigger combined with the PWS comp should provide some pretty decent split times

Mine is actually a TA33-09 w/ BDC calculated for a .308. Only thing I can't do is use or rely on the BDC, but the chevron can still (obviously) be zeroed for .223.

I absolutely love the unit, though. I had a TA01NSN that I traded for this unit, and I really can't say enough about the ACOGs. Crystal clear glass, great reticles, and I love the fiber optic illumination on this unit.

....not to sound like a d*ck...but why did you get the -9 ?? did you not know it was for the .308?

and besides...the BDC on the -8 is set up for the M4 with a 14.5 barrel with M855 (62 gr) so it's still a little off unless you're set up that way

one of my rifles has an aimpoint for CQ stuff and my other rifle has the glass for mid-range stuff

Saw a request from another Calgunner who needed a .223 reticle. I didn't "need" the calibration on my TA01NSN, and wanted dual illumination, so we spoke and made a trade. Using the BDC was cool, but for me it was a valid trade-off.

Completely understandable question, not taken as one from a Richard. Now I just need to get that low-pro mount!
