Yeah, the dot torture is done at 3, then pushed back to 5. i've shot it at 5 with a 100% hit rate but don't have a photo of the target.

That was pure pistol shooting right there. I will confess it wasn't exactly what I was trying to do

Not sure the exact distance but at least 15-20 ft.. New gun and haven't been shooting in a while.. Not too bad. The shots on the left were with my G22 and on the right side those 3 were from a Hi Standard .22

Was feeling fairly decent with my 1911 today at 7 yards. I usually suck with this gun compared to my CZ, even at 7 yards, but today was good.

‎8 shot group with my 1911 at 7 yards standing, no support. 1 flyer off to the right, the other 7 were all touching. 5.2gr Titegroup behind Berry's plated 200gr SWC, Federal primer, mixed brass.

shot today with my M&P .40 cal. All one handed. 3 magazines with my right hand, and 1 off hand. I was surprised how on target I was, I'd never tried one handed before... about 1/2 way down range I'd guess 10-12 yrds..

Had some fun with my SA loaded 1911 10 yards Remington 230gr.This was towards the end of the session and I was shooting my xdm,m&p, my friends sig p226 and another friends HK p30l so I was bit fatigued by the time I got to shoot my 1911 but still pretty satisfied with the results I noticed I'm bringing it in tighter everytime I shoot it.

This was shot at Davis Street at 12.5 yards using a modified Weaver stance. Using my Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special as a platform, I shoot Hornady 230 grain HP/XTP over 5 grains of Winchester 231, set off by Winchester large pistol primers.

This pistol delivers much the same results, time after time, without fail.

I have finally shot half-way decent enough to be able to post in this thread. Nothing amazing, but it's the cleanest grouping I've been able to put together since first shooting in February of this year. This was my last magazine of the day after shooting about 200 rounds.

Reeds Indoor Range - 6/5/11
M&P9 Pro Series
S&B 9mm FMJ
~ 10 yards, 10 rounds

Looks like 1.75" group.

Nice shooting!!!

I don't take pictures of my shooting much. I haven't been happy with the results lately.

Here's a pic of a target I shot with 20 rounds at 7 yards with my M&P9L:

My shooting has been "off" for the last 2 months. A combination of traveling and not getting out to the range on a weekly or every other week basis has really made my shooting suffer.

Today, I happened to be dialed in for the most part, but I think I have a issue thumbing the gun. My off shots are in a nice group directly to the right of the bullseye.

Yeah, that was the day I installed the Apex CompAEK in the pistol. The trigger was so light, and I couldn't get used to it right away. I have since swapped out some of the springs to give the trigger more feel, and I've been shooting better than that lately.

I had a 10 round group at 12.5 yards with my M&P9c with all shots inside the middle square on the target I attached.

I shot at 15 yards . . .
(OP truncated by me)

I shoot at close range since that is the most likely self-defense scenario--also the most legally justifiable, which matters a lot to me.

Anyway . . .

I had not been shooting for a little over a year when I recently took these below.

I love the accuracy of this work of art.

It is obviously more accurate than I am. All shots were taken in double action mode at the same distance with my dominant hand (right).

I got it for $400.00, "used."

It doesn't even have a turn line on it--no scratches or wear.

A thing of beauty.

When you hold it, you feel so many curves in your hand . . . well, let's just say that it feels so right it can't be wrong.
