Default Finally obtained my Holy Grail, with bonuses

I've wanted a Springfield Pro for as long as I can remember, and now that I am in a job where I can carry a 1911, I wanted one even more. It just so happens one fell into my lap recently. I purchased this gun for a ridiculously low price considering all the work that was done to it and the fact that it was unfired.

I've run 100 rounds of HST through it and 100 or so rounds of Speer practice ammo, and it runs beautifully. The trigger is 4.1 pounds and is perfect. I have a PC9US Long Beach Operator that I was carrying, but this will be my carry gun from now on. I couldn't be happier.

I just had to show her off to you guys since I know you all will appreciate it.

Pics are a little big, sorry.

Work done to firearm by Wilson Combat:
  • Deluxe Trigger Job, Pre-Series 80, Includes #190 Trigger,Sear, Disconnector, Sear Spring, Medium Pad Trigger
  • Armor-Tuff Handgun Barrel Only
  • Armor-Tuff Handgun Frame, Prep & Dehorn
  • Od Green The Stripped Frame Only
  • Armor-Tuff Wilson Combat Small Part
  • Blk Beavertail, Ambidextrous Thumb Safety, Tactical Levers, Bullet Proof, Blue
  • Snag-Free Front Sight, Tritium
  • Battlesight Rear Sight, Serrated Blade,Tritium
  • Bullet Proof One-Piece Magazine Well, Full-Size, Blue

Default Congrats!

Very nice!

I've owned two SA 1911A1 "Loaded" .45 ACPs, shot the hell out of both. Great guns for the price.

I just upgrade to my Holy Grail gun, a COLT RAIL GUN in .45 ACP.

(WC extended slide lock, WC modified mag release, WC 10 round S/S mags, Ed Brown Mag Well, Magpul grips)

fullsizeoutput_8f7.jpg

Taking it to Front Sight NV. for a second time this Monday.

I've shot lots of pistols, but I always gravitate back to the 1911s!

Enjoy,

Spartan301

They are both called Professionals by SA.

Non railed says Professional, railed version says Operator.

Came across this a few days ago. He's a pretty well known 1911 expert/smith etc. Didn't know this, but he carried it for quite a bit during his career.

A lot of good insight.

Nice shooter and great find.

I am always baffled by folks that buy a good shooter, upgrade/mod it...then never actually fire it. To each his own...I certainly hope you shoot the snot outa it OP...

I am going to shoot the snot out of it! In fact I shot another 100 rounds out of it today., and will again next Wednesday, and any other day I can make it out to our mobile range.
