You should probably have posted this "General" or "How laws affect me" forum. This is pretty off topic.

I am... moving to a new address. How does this work?

Some people walk. Some people take a car. Some people rent a moving truck.

Do I need to get a new ID?

No.

do I need to report to the government that I am moving

No, but it helps if you want to get mail.

I have several firearms and need to know if they all have to come with me to my new address?
|
You can give them to me.
Quote:
can I leave them locked in my parents home?
|
Only if you are the only person who can physically access them.

How does this also work with purchasing new firearms?

You must provide identification and proof of your address when buying a firearm.
Am I late in saying...? welcome to calguns.
Edit: requirements to buy a firearm are the same regardless. Your ID must be current. Some FFLs will take an ID with a different address on it, but some will insist that it matches. Proof of address must also be current. Car registration, utility bill, fishing license, etc. It's always good to check with the FFL on what they will require/accept.
