Default Warning on new products!!

As I mentioned elsewhere I met Saturday with CRPA representatives and NRA legal counsel and while we were there for something else one thing that came up was all the discussion about how to get around the new laws.

This is a matter of serious concern because the fight is not over nor is the legislature's chances to outlaw whatever ideas are developed.

Remember, the legislative session is NOT over.
This means that there is ample time, a couple of months at least, to gut and amend another bill and pass even more restrictive laws that ban the currently proposed 'fixes'.

We saw how quickly these bills were pushed through and how willing our 'representative' are to ignore policy, procedure and even law to further their agenda.
Does anyone really think they aren't watching and wouldn't do it again?

Remember, this is a public forum and even limiting it to Calguns members is not 'security' as anyone can register an account.

For those who were here back in the day you might remember the OLL Forum.
Something like that might be a reality for this but the logistics have become much larger and more involved by an order of magnitude.

In the mean time remember we are being watched and remember they can still pass laws to block or ban any new ideas THIS YEAR.

Think before chat, sounds good.

Maybe would be better to pm certain individuals about touchy items, vs posting, just sayin..

Why not just delete threads that that mention work arounds and temporarily make a sticky telling people not to post about or talk about said "fixes" under penalty of a ban. Small price to pay IMO

Yes, WAY too much chatter. I understand everyone is upset BUT PLEASE STOP!

All is conjecture at this point anyway. Be calm, patient and the details will come.

All new threads and those that have been created in regards to new laws should automatically be reviewed and deleted if these subjects are mentioned... Too much talk on "work arounds, etc." We're all just shooting ourselves in the foot. Let the lib-tards make there move on the BulletButton, iron it in and then worry about our rebuttals. This is a game of chess, you shouldn't reveal your move until your opponents hand is off of his piece! Everyone STFU!

The new BB thing was already on the news and on 640 talk Radio the next day after it popped up here. My wife walked in the room (she doesn't know anything about ARs) and asked me if I knew what a BB reloaded was and that they are talking about on the news. Deleting your posts isn't gong to hide it now.

THIS!!!!

There is no need to call this something that it isn't. There is nothing needed to release it except your finger, so maybe it should be called a finger button. Lets take stupid names away. Terminology is our enemy and don't forget it.

I agree with the mods deleting threads and posts about work arounds for the new laws until the dust settles. Not trying to be Nazis just those posters that keep asking have no idea about what the OP just said, or they don't care so neither should we about their post.

Great advise. Unfortunately there are so many that will never give this thread a second thought, or even a first look.

But the defenders of freedom tend to be well armed.

In many discussions I've had with NY gun owners, people seem intimidated by the anti-gunners. This seems to lead to a defensive mindset. There is this perception that anti-gunners are crazy zealots who are willing to sacrifice more for their cause than gun owners are. I think that mindset leads to the pro-2A community underplaying it's/our hand.

Many anti-gunners have an irrational belief that guns and gun owners are super scary and that's why they want to pass all this legislation in the first place. It can be advantageous to be feared. If we can't do anything to convince the anti-gunners we're nice peaceful, law abiding citizens, then why waste time fighting their perceptions? Why not embrace their perceptions?

Yep. We're a bunch of baddy mofos so you better stop pissing us off.

Moderate threads a bit more by deleting posts/threads and temp ban those that start threads asking why threads were deleted.

There are some posts that I have read, make me wonder who the real person is. Especially when they ask stupid questions about guns and want details. Such as " I have a ar, how do I make it shoot faster." That kind offer question should not be answered or commented on. Just delete and bar them from this site for ever.

I'm in agreement with the "loose lips" policy. Just keep quiet and address anything regarding this with a knowledgeable local dealer.

Please consider giving new members the courtesy of explaining abbreviations that may be well known to the veterans.

Example: OLL

Thanks.

Great Idea Man , censorship .... No thanks ... say what you want to say , if it brings the heat on you its our own fault .... I still dont see how anyone can consider complying to any of these unconstitutional laws passed by a communist government .... They did us wrong , cheating to pass these why shouldn't we return the same and ignore them ... This isnt just about guns ... Its about a Ka Liberal run government gone rogue and communist ... I say communist but its really more of a dictatorship but from a group of stupid people rather than one person although I still think these orders are from the idiot that thinks he is king as Browns press release sounded more like the idiots words than Browns own , a week or two back the idiot met with brown and told him to sign these ... these were direct orders I'm surprised brown cowered to him I thought he was more of a Man than that but he is a Liberal ...
Once we get a President again , one that actually believes in and abides to the constitution and doesn't hate the USA , Id hope the Fed steps in and puts a stop to the super majority /communist loophole that is only legal in Ca and best of all punish every one of them ...by allowing the people to have at them Never see communism happen again in any state if that were the punishment .. Justice is all I ask for
