Why do all the shooting ranges in Sacramento require you to have a gun to rent fire arms or you need someone 21 or over to be with you I'm 24 but I dont have no one to go with me and this will be my 1st fire arm is there any ranges in Sacramento that dont require this

Standard for ranges now.
They're tired of cleaning up the mess from suicides.

My wife has a M&P shield, 380 easy. Her left side is compromised so she needs something easy to rack, load and shoot. She qualified and will be getting her CCW in a few months, It can take up to 4 months in Nevada.
By the way, that comes with or without a manual safety.

That’s a given. You could say that about pretty much anything.

That’s an unfortunate problem. You should probably start with finding a club that does first gun classes with a rental firearm. That would be a way to find shooting buddies to go rent and try guns with.

I have had two Springfield EMP’s and both were disasters out of the box. SACS (Springfield customer service) fixed both such that they work. I kept the second one because the barrel of the first was not fit correctly (their solution was to change the link and let the barrel ride on it).

Just know what you are getting into with the EMP. Get the ejector pinned since the glue will eventually fail and then you will be like me trying to get a live round out of the gun...it was exciting. The MIM trigger parts may or may not last if you have a trigger job, according to two gunsmiths I consulted better parts should be used. They said they would do it on the MIM parts but it may develop issues 5-10k rounds down the line. If cost is an issue, that $350 Shield or a Glock 26 may be better choices for the budget.

As I said earlier...go get some lessons at a range. This will solve the rental and shooting issues simultaneously.

Hmmm... What I typically do is search for gun ranges near me and check each website. Doesn’t Sac Valley offer classes and lessons? Almost every gun range offers private lessons. I would just call around until you find a place that has instructors. They can work out the gun details from there.

Here is a trick: Find a range that has NRA Basic Pistol or other NRA classes. Call them a d explain the situation. I have never once seen an instructor fail to come up with a gun for a student.

So you'll have to go in with a friend.
Too many people have walked into ranges, rented a gun, and gone back to the line and blown their head off. The ranges and customers don't like it, so the ranges instituted a policy that you have to either be a member of the range, bring your own gun, or come in with another person over 21.

The Bersa Firestorm. If you end up not liking it. It will be an easy sell or get either one of these because you don't have a 22 and they don't cost much https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/...KEL+BLACK+GRIP or https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/...2LR+4.75+Blued

Take a basic firearms class that includes rental.

Look up:
Shooting ranges nearby.
Make a few phone calls.

Go to a local gun store if possible for your first purchase.
If you buy a gun and do not like it, you can usually sell it here and not lose much money.
You will not get a full refund after you shoot the gun so decide what you want first.

Zero friends?
What about relatives or co-workers?

M&P Shield & Glock 19 are well rated, but you need to try them out before you buy.

My wife can shoot my G19 and she is not strong and her hands are not large.
She prefers my CZ SP-01, but that is not a carry gun typically.
She can also shoot my .357 magnum, but it took some range time for her to get comfortable.

You sound like you have not shot much, if any.
Learn first, please.

So go to Reno and rent a gun there.
It's not rocket science.

Or just buy the 9mm Shield and you'll like it.

blah blah blah...

You're not listening.

Take a lesson from an instructor that works for the range, or, one who works out of that range.

Here....
Try this:
http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1448719
Whole package, good price.
It's a .40 cal, so it'll be a little snappy, but more effective than 9mm.

You tell them which local FFL to ship it to, pay shipping, pay local FFL for transfer fee (not limited by law, ask them first, whatever they want to charge), and pay CA taxes, and still wait 10 days (11 depending on store release policy). Unless you cannot find the model of gun you want locally, do not order it from a web vendor, especially since some do not really understand California approved handgun for sale roster requirements and you could end up paying a shipping and restocking fee to send the gun back when the local FFL cannot transfer it to you.

For you first gun, find it in a store and buy it there.

Go here: https://thegunrange.biz/guide-to-get...alifornia-ccw/

Read the webpage. Go to the range and learn. Take a basic pistol class and shoot some pistols. DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

If you are too lazy, stupid, or unwilling to research what works for YOU, go to the nearest gun shop and buy a Shield in 9mm. It's extremely popular for a reason. Both my wife and I carry them most of the time.

You won't save money online most of the time - the savings get eaten up by the FFL's transfer fee, and you'll have to pay sales tax even on mail-order guns.

Realize that applying for a CCW and getting a CCW are two very different things. Given your approach to the purchase of a gun, I strongly doubt you will be approved for a permit.

If you get denied, and lose interest in shooting your pistol, you will be able to sell a Shield 9 easier than most other models. They are very popular.

Your questions have been answered.
And you still have to pass the class... I doubt that is going to happen.
